Excellent point. My jaw dropped when Romney said that. Do you know how much cash a person has to have on deposit to make that much in interest? And then he gets to keep every penny of it while a common worker is paying and arm and a leg in taxes on his meager pay check. If the voters don't kick that clown to the curb they will get the worse beating in history.
I don't know if any of you noticed ,but I watched the debate on CNN because of the graph they have on the bottom of the screen. It was tanking for most of the time Obama spoke.Obama was supposed to appeal to Independents and undecideds. But he failed and only appealed to his Liberal base. The graph really tanked for him when he attacked Romney on the 47%.
Obama (*)(*)(*)(*)(*) slapped Romney so much that he looked like a deer caught in the headlights again.
Funny the rest of the country saw two against one and Romney still came out of it winning. Says alot about how weak of performance Obama gave just like his last 3 1/2 years of being the President
Obama did nothing of the kind. He looked like he was on "Star search" answering questions with ONLY what people want to hear. Obummer is a spineless socialist puppet.
Here's the full debate in case anyone missed it.
That will help middle income folks with retirement portfolios. You are conflating two different issues and, like Obama, trying to promote class warfare. Under Romney's plan, everyone will pay income tax only at a lower rate with the rich being taxed progressively just like now. The other issue is Capital Gains. His proposal is to get rid of capital gains tax which will stimulate spending. Capital Gains are from revenue ALREADY taxed at an income tax rate. No....Everyone will pay income tax but at a lower rate than now. However, if you INVEST your money or sell your house, there will be no capital gain tax when you sell it....You ALREADY paid income tax on it when you earned it.
You are pretty funny, you claim Obama crushes, and lead with an article titled 'Nearly half say Obama won showdown'... Nearly? Half? Crushing isn't something that requires such words, crushing would be definitive, like what was said after the first debate...
Obama touts fair pay for women yet has a history of paying women less. He says what he means? Hostile Workplace Obama White House pays women less than men, records show
Err... That 1% figure is outdated. Ryan was called on it and removed the elimination of capital gains from his plan.
I have to agree with this guy. Draw. I don't think this debate will move the meter much. Steve Huntley Winner: Draw In this debate, both candidates were on their game. Mitt Romney edged ahead early with anecdotes from the campaign trail about people suffering in the Obama economy. Romney also scored in outlining President Barack Obamas broken promises: Deficit not cut in half; immigration reform not attempted; the stimulus programs failure to create the jobs promised. Obama finished strong with a defense of his handling of Libya. Which candidate looked the most presidential: Both, though Obama seemed small when he tried to interrupt Romney several times and sounded harsh when he went on the attack. Romney was gentler in his criticism. The biggest whopper of the night: Obama claims Romney wants employers to determine if women can get contraception. Most dramatic moment: Obama danced around responsibility for the security failure in Libya before finally acknowledging that the buck stops at his desk and said it was offensive to suggest politics motivated his administrations changing accounts of what happened in Libya. Romney was strong in citing the administrations misleading statements and cited the upheavals across the Middle East and North Africa as evidence of the unraveling of Obamas foreign policy
Obama did better in this debate vs last, that's for sure. But, Romeny was full of substance. Obama was stalling, sucking up time. He stretched his answers with ums, pauses, etc. Romeny was talking like he wanted more time to talking about his ideas. I would call this debate a draw because no one botched it (like last time, and the VP one), but no one had an abundance of slam dunks. However, the after affects of Obama lying about his own beliefs on Lybia could make this debate a loser for Obama. We'll see if the media treats this story as they should. ((I'm not holding my breath))
what we have seen is in a way what ROmney stated Obama can speak, there is no doubt about it. But, it's great what he hopes to do, let's review what he's done or hasn't done Americans now have a clear choice. A man who was a success as governor, executive and olympics or a paid spokesmodel
Notice that when Mitt Romney brought up Fast and Furious, Obama laughed and said "Candy"- as in throw me a lifeline, Candy, I can't be expected to answer to this.
Amazing to me that everyone speaks to last night's debate as if it was basically a tie, but so many want to crown Obama the victor because he actually showed up this time. A large majority of the people see through partisan colored glasses almost 100% of the time. For the record, most believe last night's debate was a tie and that's how I see it. Two political bufoons acting like another (Joe Biden, the Supreme Interruptor).
Never heard of PolicyMic. However, CNN poll shows that while Obama won the debate by 9 points, he lost on every issue. Nice try, though.
Yep, and I loved how she tried to tell Romney to keep the talk about AK-47s. She was attempting to dissuade Mitt Romney from bringing up Fast and Furious, which of course would show that Barack Obama actually put thousands of weapons into the hands of criminals.
Crowley did show favoritism both by forcefully cutting off Romney when he wanted to respond to some of Obama's lies, to letting Obama go on past his time giving him 9% more time to when she argued with Romney about how he would use his 2 minutes.
Yup,,any time Obama got into one of their stupid talking points it dove.....That's the major reason Romney did so well the first time, Obama stayed away from those points knowing they are BS. The only reason some people feel Obama did so well this time was because of the stark difference from his last debate,,he actually looked like he cared this time..
