Alan West and Scott Brown lose. Alan Grayson and Elizabeth Warren win. Obama kicks Romney to the curve. Is this a rebuke of the conservative philosophies of ending medicare and Social security while gutting welfare so that the rich don't have to pay any capital gains taxes? Did the American people see through Republican lies and deceit as the republicans worked against the will of the American people so they could try and win weak political points? One term president? Nope, and too bad the republicans ran a campaign of obstruction for Obama's four years. Imagine what we could have accomplished if the Republicans had worked with the president to make the country better? Does this mean Obamacare is the will of the people? Does it mean the conservatives who call themselves the "silent majority" are actually the "vocal minority"? Dems pick up two in the house and the senate as well: http://www.jacksonsun.com/viewart/2...epublicans-renew-House-control-two-more-years
I will have to say that this does mean that the far right are the "vocal minority". In a democratic republic it isn't about just what you want. Maybe running the government just for the ultra-wealthy isn't a good idea either? It is time to look at a sensible tax plan. It is time to fix health care, and create UHC. Obama hit some stumbling blocks, but hopefully now the Republicans can come back to the center and start actually working with the president and democrats instead of just working for a one term president.
Scott Brown is hardly a Conservative. How did you come to the conclusion that the guy is a conservative?
He was the Tea Party Darling 2 years ago. I know they have had their ups and downs, but to get ousted by Elizabeth Warren? It says a lot of the friction in the Reublican party; especially with the tea party and the republicans. I digress though. He certainly isn't a Democrat. He is a Republican and he got beat.
HBsurfer, Smarty, kenjim, Grokmaster and the rest.... Dont you cons have some explaining to do? Or do we have to gon on now reading your dire opinions for another four years without you guys ever having to explain how you could be so loudly and drastically wrong? Dont you have any sense of honour?
What are you babbling about? I noticed you guys never got out from under the Monarchy rule... you want to explain that? I was in Aberdeen recently... you folks need dentistry.
So only the "will of republicans" can be the will of the people? Doesn't sound like you believe in democracy. That isn't surprising seeing how republicans tend to be authoritarian.
Unfortunately, you could be right given the current state of affairs. It's very difficult for any conservative, even a moderate conservative, to fairly debate ideas on a national stage with a level playing field. The debates proved that. The left dominate most major media and they're proud to do so despite the obvious and often unethical reporting they produce. Evidence of this abounds, yet it goes unchallenged by most people, they shy away from confronting it because it's socially more acceptable. I mean, if CBS, NBC, ABC, CNN & Hollywood are supporting something, it's cool to agree, right? 4 more years of Obama, a progressive Senate and a predominately left media will result in a society controlled by DC. Conservative principles will be driven out of the national conversation because of unions and European socialism will be America's new normal.
I thought Fox News was the most watched news channel? Furthermore Fox is free to skew the news in any direction it sees fit. It seems you have a more powerful vehicle than the rest. I certainly don't see the other outlets as "liberal". Moreso just lukewarm yellow.
How does a liberal come to any conclusion? Look who they voted for again and tell me how logic and reason play any part at all in coming to a conclusion.
At individual time slots Fox is only the most watched if you don't add up all the other competeing liberal media. And as far as the 6pm news networks, there is clearly a left leaning advantage. It only stands to reason you wouldn't see the other outlets as liberal, you are liberal. But if you look at the actual non-reporting of stories such as F&F and Benghazi you can't deny they are. They use to complain about Bush's secrective WH and yet Obama goes months without a press conference and the MSM is silent. Have you heard anyone from the major networks seriously questioning Obama on Benghazi? NO! How about F&F? NO! How about the green energy co's who's primary stake holders were Obama supporters recieving millions? NO! How about the bundler who's based in China with known Chinese government connections? NO! I could go on and on, but the point is the liberal media are all in for Obama. What's the saying, "ask me no questions, I'll tell you no lies"? That seems to be the overall pattern with the media.
It means nothing, the purists are incapable of introspection, let alone admitting they're wrong. The GOP will just continue gridlock, nominate more tea party nutjobs, and lose again in 2016.
LOL. HBsurfer, Im only asking that you explain yourself for your bragging prior to this latest debacle. No need to get personal about it. But hey Ill explain the monarchy - a stable alternative to a presidency that most countries who adopt to very very well with - see Sweden, norway, holland etc etc. You were in Aberdeen lately? Thats nice. Now get to the point and explain yourself...
