anybody who voted for either one of these two clowns, you are the problem and why american will always be a police state and why we lose more and more of our freedoms every year because both parties are corrupt and both these clowns serve all street and the zionists and dont believe in the constituion.here is the proof.till we get a third party president in office who will serve the people, then we will never be a free country again and remain in this police state we live in.

    http://www.politicalforum.com/elect...ns-why-you-fool-if-you-vote-obama-romney.html

My conscience is crystal clear because like any true american patriot would do,I did not vote because the ONLY candidate who believes in the constitution and serving us instead of wall street and the zionists is ron paul which is why our corrupt court system sabotgoed his strategy at the RNC convention changing the rules at the last minute so they could get thier boy Romney in.Like any true american would,i stuck with ron paul till the very end as write in vote.

English is not the official language of the US. There is an ideological reason for this being the case. They were citizens, don't be a bigot. Really that (*)(*)(*)(*) is so tired.

Are you familiar with the constitution at all? Look, its obvious that this voter ID law is a throwback to the time when one had to be a landowning male to vote. If you move around a lot its less likely that your ID is going to match the place you're supposed to vote, and when one factors in how long it can take for someone to get a new license or ID when they move (60-90 days) it becomes even more obvious what this is all about. It's not really that difficult a concept. I analyse these things, its what I do. You can believe whatever you want, I'm just telling you about statistical trends.

I prefer we have to electronic counts by two separate companies equipment or one electronic and one manual, there should always be such checks and balances if one really cares about accuracy

Then why do whites in Alabama elect black mayors?

It's made up nonsense, black voter turnout went up in Georgia after they passed ID and we've had record turn outs here.
So asking for an ID to rent a hotel room is racist? If a clerk asks a black for an ID to cash a check that's racist?

Since the vast vast majority of blacks and the poor have ID's how is it discriminatory and racist? Since you have to have an ID to collect government benefits how is it racist? And since the SCOTUS has said asking for an ID to vote does not constitute racist what do you have to back up your assertion?

The companies run them with the election officials witinessing and they produce a written record and you can always ask for a reciept out of the machine to insure your vote was cast properly. The EASIEST way to engage in voter fraud is to have human counters, the easiest way to have counting mistakes is to rely on human counters.

but if you have two counters, be one electronic and one manual OR both electronic, then IF they do not match you KNOW you have a problem

as is now, we only have one company doing the counts electronically, that is just not reliable imo

here we fill out our ballot and scan it into one reader machine, but we do not manual count unless need a recount, so really the electronic numbers are never validated

two counts are better then one, be they both electronic or a combination of hand counted and electronic both

because one system can be compared to the other... with only one system, you have to take that systems word for it

(sure now my last post shows up, this one was shorter and to the point anyways)

    This entire OP is stupid.

You presented yourself with questionable ID, it was checked, and you voted. You knew your address was incorrect, you could have corrected the DL. You could have shown up with other ID to backup your DL. Sounds like its your fault. Sounds like the system worked.

Unlike Philadelphia where some 15 wards kicked out the court appointed republican poll watchers, and those wards had over 90% voter turnout and over 99% of the votes were for obama. You should go to Philly. No ID required there. You dont even have to show up, the poll workers will cast your vote for you. How convenient.

You run a test ballots through and certifiy the machines are counting properly, you do that several times before the election. Then after the election you run them again to make sure the machine is counting accurately. If the count is close your run all the ballots through again.

No it is made up nonsenses blacks and poor have to use ID's everyday just like everyone else, they don't hide in their houses because they don't want to show an ID. And lived what, I grew up in Alabama during segregation and fought against it as a teenager in high school.

It didn't decrease because of it and in fact went up.

it didn't go up because of the id law

I know it's fashionable to want to apply the policies of the private sector to the public sector, but it doesn't make sense from the basics of economics. All private goods and services are excludable. That is, you can exclude people from it. Public goods and services are non-excludable, which means it's open to everyone who can legally participate.

Made up nonsense no evidence requiring ID frightens voters anymore than having to show one to board plane

And you remind me of a jerk.

It didn't go down as you claim would be the result.

Nope, if I own a hotel I can't exclude anyone but I can require an ID to rent a room. If I have a bar I can't exclude anyone and am required by law to check their photo ID.

i've shown you the direct evidence plenty of times, you just deny it

anyway, here's a longtime, elderly voter that doesn't have an id and has been refused one

CBS New, PHILADELPHIA - Viviette Applewhite remembers voting for Franklin D. Roosevelt for President of the United States in the 1940s. In the 1960s, she recalls marching once behind Martin Luther King.

Now 93-years old, Applewhite is afraid she will not be able to vote in November due to Pennsylvania's four-month-old, strict voter photo identification law.

"I don't think it's fair," she said in an interview at her Philadelphia apartment. "I think it should be my right to vote. That's the way I feel about it."

She's among a few hundred thousand registered voters, according to estimates by Pennsylvania officials, who don't have an acceptable photo ID, such as a driver's license.

"I've never driven a car in my life. Never wanted to," she said.

The Pennsylvania Department of State announced July 3 that nearly 759,000 registered voters, or 9 percent, lacked a driver's license or state-issued ID.

Sorry but your story doesn't show she is afraid to shoe an ID in order to vote which is your contention and this woman can do like everyone else and get a proper ID my 92 year old blind mother had no problem getting one which she like everyone else in life used quite regularly.

why not just have two companies machines do the counting and if they do not match, then do a manual count? that is the only way to make sure every vote counts

your using "faith" that every vote will be counted, I want to "verify" every vote is counted

Completely agreed here. I hate when the right wing calls Obama a socialist and refuses to recognize the authoritarian aspects of their own party. As someone who lived under communism I can assure you that both parties are really pretty equal in their authoritarian freedom oppressing measures. That Republicans are the party of small government is a lie and you'd have to be delusional to believe it, and that Democrats use the federal government to preserve and extend freedoms to all socio-economic classes is equally deluded. That is why I voted for Gary Johnson, he is a real small government guy. Both liberals and conservatives can be small government, one isn't inherently socialist or fascist because they are liberal or conservative, but neither Democrats nor Republicans are small government in the least and they are both disturbingly authoritarian.
    Good thread.
I agree with you completely but I would stay away from phrases like "like any true american patriot would do" because it verges on the no true scotsman logical fallacy (even though I don't believe you are guilty of it) and people will wrongly call you on it and dismiss your argument even though it is perfectly valid. I think that Gary Johnson is a great candidate actually and there is a good reason to vote for him: if he had gotten 5% of the vote the LIbertarians would be a nationally funded party and it is the most peaceful way I can think of of breaking the two party system dynamic in this country. Again, I would stay away from the "like any true American" thing because I think there are people that disagree with you who genuinely want what is best for this country, and until you've had an ernest discussion with them they should not be written off, but otherwise I agree with you.

There is something disturbing going on in the GOP which is why Romney became the nominee in the first place, and it has a lot to do with Karl Rove.

They don't need "two a company to count the ballots" the machines do it and the are certified to be accurate before and after the actual vote count with representitives of both major parties there to witness it.

What don't you understand, it is. You run a couple of hundred ballots threw of a know result and certify the machine counted them accurately.

it shows that she's afraid she won't get to vote because she doesn't have a photo id
