Apologies, but i need you to draw me a picture because i don't understand whatever on earth you're talking about.

 

Secede. I'm all for those people forming their very own third world rat hole.

I don't support the secession movement, however I would like to state that states CAN secede. There is an act of congress required however. But, we do have a republican dominated congress. Therefore, state secession is a valid worry point and not something to be laughed off.

No - they're just suggesting they take states out of the Union whether all the residents of those states agree and want to go or not. They want to give them the choice of either renouncing the U.S. or leaving their homes and property. Isn't that the same thing?

 

The coffers are dry. The people divided. Too many non issues being addressed while the nations business is ignored. The US is falling apart (no unity) and if we do not resolve to fix it then collapse is unavoidable.

Well, that's up to them. They want to renounce their country and their citizenship and leave, they'll have to find somebody who wants them. They'll have to leave THEIR homes and property just as they would ask others to do. Everybody else is happy where they are and with the country they have.

 

So do the people who do NOT want to secede.

So why be so critical of those who wish to secede? Besides, those living in states which have seceded might find their new environ favorable. If not, well, they could always move to some supposed blue state haven.

 

They can renounce the central government without renouncing the country. Washington DC is full of crooks and frauds and is not the country.

Its a stupid idea, it is not economically feasible without abitrarily "nationalizing" all federally developed infrastructure like highways, airports, ports, and all federal land. Then you'd have to assume your share of the debt on some basis, perhaps population based. Then, you'd have to use some form of currency - if its the american dollar, you would have absolutely no control over your monetary supply. then you'd have to find new markets for your goods, because a few high duties on primary exports and your economy is toast.
You'd have to buy the military bases and supplies and equipment (if possible).

Naturally the morons that would sign such a stupid petition have no clue what it really would mean. It merely exposes them for the intellectually bankrupt selfish fools they are.

So, i guess the United States isn't all that important to you. I suppose the ideals that so many have died for don't mean as much to many americans. Pity. perhaps its a true sign of the decline of the american empire. The "ideals" of America favor secession and independence. Read the DOI sometime.

 

Let me see here: Everyone is taxed at a higher rate as there will be no more federal tax, there will be no Military to support that is on the other side of the globe, no foreign aid, no welfare payments for non native born or naturalized sworn citizens... No millions to pay out for federal politicians.
