It is a sad state when citizens don't care about 4 citizens murdered on foreign soil, especially when help was available! I expect he will throw anyone under the bus to protect his hide. Yea, the help WAS available and WAS there. Those people were the help... how do you not get that? There was over 30 individuals guarding the annex, they even took over the embassy and gained control. Two individuals unfortunately died from a rocket... that does not mean they were hiding in a room waiting for help. The help was there, they were defending the annex, they had control. This happens every day in the Middle East.

What you are confusing is the 20 minute delay at the initial attack on the Consulate where they told the two CIA members not to go to the Consulate with what happened in the annex. Fox News has brainwashed you in to thinking that they were locked in the annex desperately begging for help. They were not, and there is absolutely no evidence that supports that claim. No one was told to stand down.

As far as rice is concerned, I bet most of those on the witch hunt haven't seen or heard what she had to say.
I don't hold out much hope of rightwing comprehension of nuanced statements in context, since their track record is pretty darn bad in this area.

If you bother to view these vids, you will be immediately struck by the consistency of the message the ambassador delivers. Its almost word for word in both interviews. She really learned those talking points.

The sheer folly that the GOP has opted to engage in speaks volumes as to why they lost the last presidential election to a poorly rated and arguably very ineffective president. Instead of engaging in the business of this country, they have, in this case, opted to provide minute long soundbites to provide intellectual masturbatory fodder for the mindless that follow them around.

The entire event has been explained ad nauseum. There was no cover up, no refusal to provide support, nothing more than tragic incident that is part of the dangerous portion of international diplomacy. Similar things have happened in the past. Similar things will happen in the future. the world can, at time,s be a dangerous place and not everyone is in love with the history and status of the US.

This fool Gowdy, an incredibly apt description, is pandering the the very low of the party. With his ridiculous challenge, that he most certainly knows will not be met, he now has carte blanche to make the ridiculous claim that the president is evading or avoiding testifying. For the weak minded, may I point out that presidents do not testify before Congress for the satisfaction of right wing radio loyalists with no good cause?

This is what substitutes for thought these days. Mindless soundbites that have no context that are championed as intellectual triumphs. With behavior this reprehensible and predatory on the minds of the citizens, the US now deserves to be led by the wolves they elect with the hope of being tossed a crumb, a morsel to explain away their own self imposed serfdom at the hands of these politicians.

There was no protest in Libya as Rice says over and over that it is clear that there was. She lied and most likely knew that she was lying. She says that there was no evidence that there was an imminent attack possible in Libya when our people had been attack before and the Red Cross was driven out of Libya. the day he died our ambassador said that he was in danger but Rice says that there was no indication that the people in Libya were in imminent danger. I can see why the liar in chief wants her as sec of state.

 

Yes, they won't stop until the fat drug addict on the radio and fox come up with another worthless 'scandal' to whine and scream about.

Lying? How have I lied? The Benghazi consulate had already been bombed PRIOR to the ambassador's request for added security and the fatal attack. Did you even know that? Show us an example of the Bush admin not responding to an embassy attack they way that the Obama admin did. Regardless, Bush isn't president anymore, and he has to answer for the debacle in Benghazi. You can't hide him behind Bush forever.

Again, you are not accepting that Obama could have chosen avoiding the risk of collateral damage and the breech of Libyan air space over the lives of a few Americans. He's quite a cold man in reality.
