Nancy Lanza was a public school teacher besides being a prepper. What does that say about public school teachers?
I don't either...thru out the yrs it's been steadily more graphic violence, sex, the crime rate particularly w/the young people along w/the drug infestation has exploded. When parents drag their young kids to a violent movie at midnight b/c these immature, self-absorbed parents just had to see Batman - their hero. Well, that's just one small example of the society we now live in......

It's been reported many times that this Adam had a form of autism - Asperger's(?) He was mentally unstable thru out his life, was a loner, which is a bad sign and to bad the parents didn't recognize that. The parents divorced around 2 yrs ago, but the dad didn't desert his son....
"may have been 'well-adjusted'"? NO, he wasn't. He was born w/a serious mental disorder, which steadily got worse and people don't just 'snap'... the diseased mind is a long, slow process of building up to the point of no return. Then they go off the deep end. What exactly was wrong w/him, no one has said yet. Haven't heard anything from the father. People born w/autism don't become homicidal maniacs targeting small children....
That's right. If people would look at history, going waaaay back thru the generations up until now, the country kids were taught the proper use and safety of rifles and would go hunting w/their fathers starting at a very young age.......

That just tells me that she was as crazy as her son, the shooter. Too bad when guns get mixed up with craziness. Now all the assault weapons enthusiasts will probably have to pay the price for it.
To often it does go back to the parents,but in these cases where the child was born w/a mental disorder like Adam was, I think it's more about the professional medical care the parents made sure he got ... or didn't get. And of course, good parenting and nurturing is important, but from what I understand about autism, many of those children can't bond w/a parent or anyone......
I've herd both also. You'd think her x-husband and son, Ryan, would be able to clear up that confusion.....
It is a fact, the world will end one day. Our sun will turn into a red giant in a billion years, and the Earth will be cuaght inside the sun. The Earth probably won't survive the collision between the Milkyway and Andromeda galaxies. The entire universe is either going to expand and tear itself apart on a molecular level, or collapse back in on itself. If you want to prep for those things, you will be helping a lot of people out.
How so? Parents can divorce, but that doesn't mean the dad will completely walk out of the kids lives. If he does, that's called desertion. Adam's dad didn't do that from the reports about their amicable divorce and he made sure they had plenty of $ to live on..... if all this is true, give the man credit, since they said it was Nancy who filed for the divorce.
The reports are showing the mother was likely unstable that had an arsenal of weapons and even took her sons shooting recently before the shooting. Her guns caused the death of herself and countless others. It sounds like she was a nutcase possibly brainwashed by the right wing machine.
You're right. The mother and son probably had an incestuous relationship which is why he shot her four times in her face. He wanted to obliterate her face from his memory. So after he whacked her he went to the school and started killing kids. Maybe she had had an abortion for his kid? So he could have thought that other people shouldn't have theirs either. Based on the news reports she was 13 cards short of a full deck. And he was certainly nuts.
The country would be better off if this Lanza woman had institutionalized her son instead of trying to raise him.
And they have an eager audience in some. The people to whom this garbage appeals, the authoritarian-personality types, have a need for this kind of thing. They are above all fearful. They fear change and uncertainty, they fear people who have different beliefs or cultures or skin colors, they fear their things being taken away from them, they fear people who know more than they do. With all these fears, they need powerful, unquestioned leaders who will frame a conspiracy story which will make sense of their fears. So Rush Limbaugh tells them, "They're coming to take your guns so they can subdue you" and they believe it.
Put developmentally disabled adults and people who are mentally ill in straighjackets in padded cells. Censor Hollywood movies, video games and TV to eliminate violence. Leave my guns alone.
