How do you reconcile this belief with the rise of China?

A nation as godly as America is being usurped by one as godless as China. I don't think it takes a genius to figure out that godliness and success are not tightly connected.

not to mention the country south of our border, 98% Christian, I do not think it's helped them much though... but then again Mexico does have the richest man in the world, so I guess if that is a Christians ultimate goal, mission accomplished

then again maybe they read the part about a rich man having a hard time getting into heaven, so by making everyone poor they are trying to increase their citizens odds of going to heaven

well hitler was Christian.... so just because you claim you are Christian doesnt mean you actually are one.

also there are many democrat/liberal Christians.... so yeah just because you say you are religious doesnt mean you are ACTUALLY Christian

How can you say that when you know that Franklin was a serial philanderer and an atheist, Jefferson used to screw his slave ladies, Hancock was a thief and bootlegger, and the whole lot of 'em were against the imposition of any religion? Many, if not most, of the founders were Deists (if anything) and never went to church.

An aspect of this that the Americans have a huge contingent of people involved in a religion that promotes, demands regressive, anti intellectualism.

Perhaps they think an angle with a flaming sword will protect their trailer park from them Asians. You know, the ones with buck teeth and who cant think of anything original. And who in their many millions are busy out educating themselves, and outproducing the Americans.

The fat waddlers at Walmart buying up Chinese goods say it all. If anyone still doesnt get it they should go visit China.

okay.... well IMO if you commit truly evil acts... like killing innocents, being anti-religion, and such then you arent a real christian your just pretending...

so i looked it up apparently 247 million americans state to be christian. I'd say about 80million-150million are true christians from my views. but my views dont really matter. God says he accepts anyone who believes in him and repents. so according to him that number is probably way over and probably is very close to 300 million.

    I mean today.

All you super conservatives support Israel because you think Jews have to be in Jerusalem for the second coming, but doesn't another nation also have to rise, and surpass the US for the second coming as we are the only nation in the world today that even slightly resembles the New Babylon described in Revelations?

I, for one, will stand up for Pukuaman and the God who is real and does care about who blesses him. He took care of the Israelites when they were faithful to Him and He now takes care of us when we are.

Clearly, there is a need to return to a time where nearly everyone worshipped God. When that happens, things do tend to go well for our nation. Just look at the earlier parts of America's history, when we were a nation of believers. Sure 40 million people died in world war I which was essentially a war that accomplished nothing, sure World War II broke out with a record number of US soldiers dying, sure you could even say that we put people in internment camps and the great depression broke out. But in the end, none of those things really matter. Back in those days, apple pie was American and hot dogs didn't cause cholesterol; they were known at the ball games.

Sure, people died all the time, but we didn't know about it so we weren't as depressed; which is really what matters. Think about it, people die all the time; you and I will even die. There is a direct correlation with how long people stay in church listening to their pastor and how much death they know about. If we only worshipped the Lord more, we would hear about fewer deaths and thus become a happier nation. No wonder there is so much wrong with our nation, more than ever, people have access to things like college and knowledge; which both undermine God and make us more aware of death and destruction. Sometimes, ignorance is bliss. And in the case of the one true God, ignorance of all knowledge that leads away from Him is important to maintain. Suffering? Nope, can't hear you. Death? Sorry, find another morgue. It's time for us to plug our ears once again, just like the great preachers and priests before us did. If you follow the one true way to God, while keeping out all the noise from the outside, you won't stray from the narrow path.

How many nonsense, precious mother of god. God is fiction, as every story that human has created. And what god is the right, the yours, why do you say that?

Prove that god exists, then people with rationality will aknowledge him. Believe in him now is like believing in Santa Klaus or Gandalf. Supidity.

I am not sure what you are speaking about if you use the word "we" - I am a German, lots of my ancestors were Jews and I'm a Catholic. I'm by the way even for this history untypically - because I have blue hairs and blond eyes - or so. And I would not call myselve "conservative" or "progressive" but traditional.

American has never been and never will be a "Nation of God". It is a nation of religious freedom, where a person may choose to worship and god or gods that they wish, or choose to worship no god at all, and be free from any and all persecution. Thew majority of the people do choose to worship the Christian god, but that does not make them special, give them any rights (other than those that are also given to everyone else), or mean that this nation is about their beliefs.

Yeah - let's burn this Antichrist on a stake. Good idea.

It's your belief that god is a fiction and it's not very plausible that every story of all human beings is always only a fiction - except you personally define "story = fiction" and you are discussing in an empty devils circle.

And please - How is someone able to think that someone who is using a picture from Jesus Christ with a machine gun is able to think? Specially if it is Christmas tide.

Do you believe that Gandalf is fiction? Then that is your belief, or with him do you use the logic thinking of there are no proofs of his existence, therefore I use the logic of considering this creature as something ficticious until it has been proved the contrary?

With the idea of god and any other magical thing I use that method: It will be something of the world of the ideas, of the imagination until it has been proved his existence.

For example, for me now extraterrestial life is just pure imagination, however I believe(and there is a believe that moves me to make more research in that area) that there is the possibility that outside there is extraterrestial life, but that is just an hypothesis, nothing real, just something that maybe I would like that it would be real.
