I'm not talking about the two party circus which is presented as democracy on the establishment media, I am talking if real movement would gain real popularity, and hold it's own elections and do it's own counting rather than trusting the establishment's reports where the media determines for the society a year in advance of who has a chance to win by publicizing their pre selected scum. if a real movement for change would rise up, and enough people with it, would the establishment allow it, or would they fight it by any means possible? Below is a very graphic video, WARNING! http://www.liveleak.com/view?i=121_1357129784
In our system, if enough people support the movement it will become the establishment. We have always had a peaceful transition of power.
Were the people in power to be seriously challenged by the people of America the people in power would not hesitate to kill as many as was necessary to preserve their power. Kenrichaeds post is far from reality as you can get. Fantasy.
Good luck when you have arms in every house and basically ten million guerilla fighters.. Along with a divided ruling class, and I doubt the military would shoot on their families. And I doubt it would ever go into a rebellion to begin with.
I believe the Japanese principle displayed in Freakanomics, as Tatemae and Honne, offers the answer to this question. The American government would be as brutal as it could be while upholding the principles of Tatemae and Honne. In other words they would be as brutal as they could while still maintaining the appearance of legitimacy..
Now. But what if all guns were banned, and then eventually confiscated? What would there be to stand in the way? The USA government could do whatever it wanted, and there would be no one else to stop them.
