If I'm not mistaken, anyone can hire a staff of professional bodyguards who are allowed to carry all types of weapons. Just because someone supports gun control, which essentially makes them a higher target for attack, doesn't mean they don't also have the right to protect themselves.
The NYDP are not private rent-a-cops. The point is if Bloomberg needs guns protecting him every minute of the day wherever he goes the rest of us should have that option also. But the mayor wants everyone else to be defenseless.

His security teams was 100% out of line. If I was the questioner, they don't get crap. They were asking for name, date of birth, I.D., etc.... They are NYC Cops in Washington, D.C., they have zero jurisdiction. I would have laughed at anyone asking me for I.D. The Mayor like most Liberals and gun grabbers is a huge hypocrite.
