Correct, and the biggest problem I have is it's tendency to eventually lead to violence. When you are exposed to this type of ''entertainment'' you may eventually believe what they want you to, and that is the opposition wants to ''deliberately'' hurt you, your family, and your friends. I find it despicable they tie everything they possibly can toward race not even trying to explain the logical reasons for the other sides concerns. They do this deliberately because they realize it's the surest way of guaranteeing their views are accepted as correct, how can the other side be right,,their racists, that's all you need to know, and it works! They use the term ''dog whistle'' constantly, it's their way of saying,,''SEE,,,RACISTS TOLD YA'' how despicable is that? No proof, no discussion, no nothing,,,just out right blatant accusations! and in the most unprofessional childish manner. I have no idea how these people do this day after day and not get physically ill. It flies in the face of all that's true journalism to any stretch of the imagination and leaves nothing but hate , a tendency toward violence, and a truly uneducated public. They do not look to educate, they look to FLAME the emotion in people and in the worst possible way. One thing is most obvious and that's having people get along and respect one another is the LAST thing on their mind. It would be bad for Business,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,period!
Why isn't one of my choices that Fox news is apart of a two-headed beast, ran by corporations just like MSNBC, that is meant to keep us fighting amongst ourselves?
Just keep one thing in mind. Satan's name translates to "the accuser." Any time I'm tempted to get frustrated by all the baseless accusations of partisan liberals, I just remember that and it puts it all in perspective. You don't expect the bad guy to play by the rules. You expect him to lie, cheat, defame, distort, and cut every corner possible. If he had integrity, he would be the good guy.
I have long been puzzled by, what I can only surmise is rampant hypocrisy presented by the entire FOX organization. For as long as I can remember, FOX News has railed against the downfall of morality in America and "family values" etc.... Yet, their entertainment division has given the world some of the most pathetic, disgusting, putrid anti-family shows, ever seen. FX has loads of incredibly violent shows, w/partial nudity + swearing. Fox 'regular' channel has given us lovely gems such as "To Marry a Millionaire" and dreck alike. I've seriously wondered for years about the schizophrenic nature of the disparity between what the cable News division says......and their entertainment side promotes. (And I really, really like some of the FX shows!) However.....absolutely none of that bothers me nearly as much as this: http://www.politicalforum.com/media...dia-during-attempted-hijackng-presidency.html That a 'journalistic' entity would so blatantly try to buy a candidate is just repellant as all get out to me. My disgust for this, is really only eclipsed by my disgust for the so-called 'liberal media' for not jumping all over hell and gone to bring this travesty to the American public. If ABC, NBC, CNN or God forbid, MSNBC tried something like this, FOX News would never shut up about it. (nor should they) Oh-----and the main difference I see between MSNBC and FOX? MSNBC doesn't claim to be 'fair and balanced'.
Fox news is no worse that any other cable news outlet. They dont tow the liberal white wash when it comes to reporting the news, so liberals foam at the mouth over the mention of Fox. Conservatives belive most of the crap coming out of Fox, because its not leftist slanted. Either way, journalism is dead.
I watch Fox News with one eye and on another set I watch MSNBC with the other eye. The result? The ultimate misinformed citizen
Didn't vote because there is one option missing. Fox news is the same as the liberal news, just the "other" side of the coin. An effort to give the impression that there is a difference between the two establishment parties.
Okay well you have your opinion, I have mine. I generally find msnbc to be more on point with most of the world though. That being said they are both pretty disgraceful.
One can not deny sensationalism works, however there really is not much else out there they all do it.
"skewed polls" and "Romney landslides". Thank God for Fox....and gullible Rightwingers watching it. If they had heard the truth back before Election Day, they might have been able to stop the President's re-election.
That's not true and this is how rumors start. O'rielly and the fox poll had it close, and Gallup has been a long time pollster used by the Liberal media. This is how things get blown out of proportion, you know these things but still exaggerate or miss form. What was others excuse for the midterms,,,huh?
YES! Even the non-profit news outlets have their respective adgendas. Divide & conquer works; we remain stymied to move toward a saner led future.
Fox is no different than any other news platform Most criticism's are from a standpoint of they cant discern the difference between actual news reporting and commentary. I for one tune to it for most of my news and I like most of the commentary, except for the parrot Hannity
I never watched the infotainment shows on the satellite Fox channel, and shows like O'Reilly and the like aren't News shows anyway. I do watch the local Fox channel's news broadcasts, and they are much better than the other networks broadcasts, so even with 10 choices, the poll still managed to not have a choice for me to vote on. I also tune in to the Local PBS station for Jim Lehrer's news show, the BBC show, Asian Journal, European Journal, Washington Week, McLaughlin Group for news as well, even though the latter two aren't news shows either. I listen to radio far more than tuning in to TV, in any case, Diane Rheems is the best of the bunch, though biased, but if you're aware of the biases it's not a problem.
Bet the outcome of this poll is far better than it would be if the same poll taken on MSNBC cable news which is clearly the biased news source on T.V. and Cable
