lover means many things. nowhere in the book does it say he had sex with a teen. toclaim it does after having it repeatedly debunked is a flat out lie

 

In the "Mayor of Castro Street", the author wrote that an acquaintance of Milk's lavished 'all of his attention on his lover, Jack McKinley.

Is this suggestive that McKinley and Milk were having sex- of course it is. But is it prove- of course it isn't. This is not a direct quote from Milk's acquantance, nor do we know how what the acquantance was assuming when he told the author Shilts twenty years after the fact.

Shilts never quotes anyone in his book as saying Milk was having sex with McKinley. Neither Milk or McKinley ever are quoted as saying that they had sex when McKinley was a minor. You are reduced to assuming what the word 'lover' means and assuming that the person who told the author had direct knowledge that they were indeed lovers.

However, they were living together, and McKinley came to NY to(and this is a quote) "so I could suck (*)(*)(*)(*)", so I don't have any argument with speculating that they did indeed have sex when McKinley was a minor.

I mean- I assume that Elvis had sex with Priscilla when she was living in Graceland at 16- but thats just speculation.

And back to the OP- I strongly recommend that anyone who believes what Silhouette or Funinsnow believe boycott California. Please boycott my state.
