by Robert Huber Appearing in Phildelphia magazine.March issue. The article basically calls it as it sees it from the firsthand experience of a college student { White student } who attended Temple University. Insisted not a day went by he didn't feel personally shamed by university Blacks, based nothing more than the color of his skin. The article was so telltale that the Mayor of Philadelphia is aggressively seeking to have the Magazine { Philadelphia } investigated. For speaking the truth.About the real state of Race relations inside Philly.NOT a city of Brotherly Love. In fact, the exact opposite. Huber recounts in the article what his son experienced personally on the campus of Temple University and how Life in Philadelphia is handled.Blacks appear aggressively consumed by thoughts of Racism. Most often only in their mind. " In a city that is largely poor and segregated, white people have become afraid to say anything at all about race. Here's what not being said " - Philadelphia Magazine , March 2013
This is a bellwether.Because not only did Barack Obama give a Philadelphia address { a MLK style speech } in order to overcome his Pastor's { Reverend Wright } recent Youtube Video's being exposed. Mayor Nutter is at the forefront of the city's attitude.Having heard him enough on MSNBC to know he's not inclined towards race relations. His comments regarding Mitt Romney and his attacks on Republicans are sheer proof positive.Like Chaka Fattah { Philadelphia Congressman }.
Mayor Nutter is a strange fellow. He did create a bit of a stir when he went around insisting that Blacks need to stop running around with their Hip Hop clothes halfway down " Pull your pants up and buy a belt cause no one wants to see your underwear or the crack of your butt. " And " take those God-durn hoodies down, especially in the summer ". The Mayor,an educated Catholic { Grade school and High School } taking Blacks to task ... " You have damaged your own Race ". Forgetting not that Bill Cosby was a Big Lover of Philly and also attended Temple.Yet the " Cos " was derided for years over that approach of shaming blacks into better behavior. Then Nutter goes on the attack with other Democrats { Ed Rendell } insisitng things that don't even make sense about Good Guys like Mitt Romney. No wonder Many Philly Precincts didn't garner One Ballot for Romney. An Almost impossibility.
The USA doesn't have a black problem or a white problem, it has an American problem. Blacks and whites in the US have a whole load more in common than they have that's different but so many seem unwilling (or psychologically unable) to recognise that. Unfortunately, it's a vicious circle and unless they're broken, they inevitably spiral ever downwards.
Yeah I read that story a few days ago. Blacks move in, whites move out. Same story everywhere. Not just philly.
Ridiculous b.s. you are guilty of running off at the mouth. - - - Updated - - - I kinda like whats going on in L.A.---Latinos are moving in and running out the negroids.
It may have more to do with Political reality. That maybe,Liberals and the Democrat Party are so invested in Political Correctness and keeping Blacks in their camp { via L.B.J.'s Great Society } and promises of more, always more Government help { Welfare,Food Stamps etc. } and even the DOJ under Holder caught aggressively going after cases of White on Black crime while simultaneouly Ignoring Black on White Crime { Black Youth and Polar bear hunting or Knockout Game. } - White Girl Bleed a Lot : The Return of Racial violence and How the Media Ignore it -
Whites come in, and kick out the Mayans. Whites bring blacks in. Blacks kick out the whites. Mexicans come in, kick out the blacks. Mexicans spread across Philidelphia. Hippies come in and kick out the Mexicans. Whites come in and kick out the hippies. Whites bring black in. (Cycle repeats). It's the game of life.
I don't believe it's ridiculous bs. I say that because I grew up in Baltimore, MD and went to public schools. They were predominately African-Americans that went to those schools. I got bullied all the time, hell I was even groped by a female while walking down the hallway (I know some pervert on here will cheer it, it wasn't warranted at all and shouldn't have occurred). I know how the person feels. I didn't make a big deal out of it because there was nothing I could do. My family was poor and we couldn't afford anything better. I had to take what I can get and I needed the education. A lot of what the author wrote about is still valid. The bullies would continue doing what they wanted to do and even the good folks wouldn't say anything because they didn't want to get involved. It got to the point where I literally had to stand up for myself and start pushing back that the bullying relented a little bit. Not saying this should be the case for all scenarios, it simply had to be done in mine. In the case of racism, racism breeds more racism. People point to the left saying 'Liberals use blacks for racism', people point to the right saying 'Conservatives use whites for racism'. All the while, both sides are stirring up more racism, creating an even deeper divide, and we're always going to be pitted against each other. I don't care that I was bullied in school by another race, the same thing occurred when I went to a private school and it was from the same race as myself. Does it come to a point where I hate both races? Of course not. I can't generalize one bad deed for everyone. That's why I give respect to everyone and have those take the respect away from themselves. I live by a different moral standard that I don't believe I should hate anyone. People are only playing by the rules in which the system provides them to everyone. Then folks want to point fingers at the teachers & the teachers unions for creating this because they're not educating our children right. They don't look at the system that is constructed around them that the government provides for them. Then big corporations buy up a ton of lobbyists that spat out ridiculous rhetoric that it's the teachers fault for creating this, not filthy rich people. All the while, we continue to play this stupid cycle of shifting money around from the teachers, to teachers unions, to education, to politicians, to big businesses, and not a one of us get any better because of it. In yet, we'll continue to let folks spin these propaganda records that purposely pits everyone against everyone. Why? Because when none of us can come together and make a rational decision, nothing will get done and the government can make any policy it wants by going off of the majority, further creating a rift among us. Boggles my mind when people ask for something different and all they keep getting is the same thing and wonder why nothing changes.
Here is a component on the much called-for "dialogue on race" but Mayor Nutter (you can't make things like that up) wants no part of it. Unless it's beating up whitey democrats don't want any part of a real dialogue.
The City of Brotherly Love and the one Obama specifically picked for his Faux Martin Luther King address in 2008 is also the one where a real Killer is on trial. I'm speaking of one ... Dr. Kermit Gosnell,a Black, who runs the Philadelphia Women's Medical Society clinic and who is on trial for his Life over not just allegations but for being an ourtight Abortionist who is charged with snapping the heads of newborn babies with scissors.Gosnell's lawyer, Jack McMahon is claiming the prosecution is " racist ". Pandering to a largely black jury,Attorney Jack McMahon stated, " This is a targeted, elitist and racist prosecution of a doctor who's done nothing wrong but give {back} to the poor and the people of West Philadelphia. " After a Federal raid on Gosnell's clinic { not inspected in 17 years } it was discoved to be a literal house of horrors. So much for Brotherly Love.
