It is a mess for individuals to work out, and not you. There is nothing unconstitutional about meetings which do not violate the laws of property or individual at schools; you are to kindly extricate yiur snoot from the free expression of others in such ascenario]

Yes, if it is an initiative coming from the students. Equal consideration should be given to groups of students requesting other activity rooms, but yes, if it had enough support I don't see anything wrong with it.

    Absolutely NOT!!
Students can do all the praying or meditating they want to at home or in their church.
    Schools are for academic activities.
I also think that sports should be eliminated from public schools.

It's better than what has been done at public schools I attended as a youth. I was once given 'lunch detention' (basically had to eat lunch by myself separate from everyone else) because a teacher 'caught' me saying a prayer before eating, even after she gave me a warning about it. Years later, I came to find out that this 'progressive school' built a Muslim Prayer Room, at taxpayer expense.

    "Prayer room OK'd

PORTLAND, Maine - A high school in Portland has established a temporary prayer room for Muslim students, after they complained that a change in class schedules prevented praying at sunset as required by Islamic religious law.

An official of Portland High School said on Friday that a small office would be made available to about a dozen Muslim students for prayers, but this would not lead to the lifting of other restrictions on in-school religious activity" 1994

I think it'd be fine for the school itself to set up a chapel-type room for anyone, of any religion, who wants to use it to gather, to pray, etc. With the caveat that it is entirely voluntary and is open to anyone - not favoring any religion, church or creed above another.

In most states, students are allowed to pray. Prayers can simply not be part of official school functions and the school can not require them, and teachers can not be involved.

I actually don't think the teacher was within her legal right, but I was in the third grade. Hardly about to note my constitutional rights.
