Yes, I think I'm beginning to now. When things begin to start looking better for the economy, unemployment is slowly getting better, and all of a sudden, BOOM. All the republicans can focus on are scandals and sequestration to hurt the most vulnerable. And these scandals in the end, are going to amount to a whole lot of nothing.

Not exactly! Bengazi wasn't a war. It was an embassy where Clinton had diplomats working there who were not asked to go on the battlefield, but people got killed. Unlike Nixon who campaigned against the war, but secretly wanted to keep it going until after the election. I wonder what the mothers of those dead soldiers would have said if they had known about that lie?

 

If Nixon delayed the talks, I'm sure there were other valid reasons. Even if there wasn't, the ends justified the means. we couldn't handle four more years of McNamara and Johnson! More lives would have been lost if they had stayed in power. 1968-69 would have been bloody, no matter who was in there.

Those of us serving knew Nixon tried to get an honorable end to the war, but the dimocrats in congress and the protestors like Scary Kerry would not let us. The irrational ending to the war due to lefty pressure cost us many lives, and got millions of S. Viets murdered.

 

Imo the real problem is that America was founded on an idea that blossomed, flowered, and then died. What happens when the idea dies? Ask the Soviets.

 

We were at war? Then why no troops? I don't remember hearing we were at war with Libya

Why are we in Syria in the first place? Why are we even there?

 

We were there because we ( Obama ) fail to secure Gaddafi's weapons. We were there trying to recover or track them down. There is your reason

And it looks like, instead of focusing on these manufactured scandals that people are beginning to tire of, knowing the real motive for all of them, they may want to beef up their voter suppression schemes.
