Well, that BB gun sure does look scary. To some pointy-headed liberal cretins, that's enough reason to ban.

 

Which is why if you are a true conservative you would go back and look at the old laws from the early days of our country and institute absolute bans on guns of any type within city limits.

 

Why? Because some cities did that? This is the exact problem with the heavy-handed federal government approach. One size fits all rarely if ever works. By the way, I wouldn't consider myself a "true conservative" by any stretch of the imagination.

 

AceFrehley, I was just illustrating a point. I personally don't believe in absolute gun bans in a town or for the entire country. Actually very few people in any political party believe in that. Even in Europe such an idea is not popular.

All I was illustrating to you is when conservatives say they want to follow the constitution and the founders intent there is no evidence that for most of the history of this country that rather harsh gun bans were considered unconstitutional. If a town decided to ban guns no political party or NRA had a meltdown.

Sorry, but my username is a take off the old 'Xena: Warrior Princess' character Joxer, I have no delusions of grandeur.

If the president tries to ram a complete ban through without a vote, I highly doubt it will get any support and will set off a chain of events that would eventually cause him to lose his presidency.

So, I believe he would wait until he had the public support needed for a complete ban before he tries one.

And no, I just want a solution that is fair to ALL sides. And I do not believe the capitalistic big-business profit-at-all-costs mentality is a fair solution to everyone.

 

You might care more when they unite to push their will and desires on us.

It might be a good idea to make enough friends to protect ourselves from them, by compromising.

Just like it would be a good idea for the greedy rich business owners and poor parasites to compromise as well.
