Number one Zimmerman is not a licensed security officer.

I was a licensed security officer*** here in Florida a few years back as a part time job and I was specifically told not to confront anyone, only to observe and report to the Police if deemed appropriate.

In fact his status as a neighborhood watch volunteer is at best tenuos.

And he was in violation of those standards.

    http://www.dailykos.com/story/2012/...tch-Materials-DO-NOT-GET-PHYSICALLY-INVOLVED#

"You will add your “eyes and ears” to those of the Police Department which cannot be everywhere, all the time, by keeping a watchful eye and open ear to what is happening in your neighborhood. You will extend their ability to provide security by reporting anything unusual or suspicious, 24 hours a day, seven days a week, so they can follow up on your leads. What you will not do is get physically involved with any activity you report or apprehension of any suspicious persons. This is the job of the law enforcement agency."

And finally, and this is a big one, Trayvon Martin was doing nothing that any reasonable person could construe to be suspicious the night Zimmerman followed him.

So your boy Zimmerman was wrong all the way around.

***Not one of my prouder achievements, licensed security officer is another name for minimum wage rent-a-cop, but I had bills up the ass from a nasty dayvorce and needed a way to make some extra cash.

he should know as a guard what risks are there,
even policemen calls for backups if they are in an odd situation.

    Mod edit>>>lets not do that

. Security guard spots a suspicious person walking around in an apartment complex.

    2. Security guard observes suspect.

    3. Suspect walks around corner, out of sight from the guard/

    4. Guard follows to keep suspect in sight.

    5. Guard calls police to inform them he is in pursuit of a suspicious person.

    6. Police dispatcher tells guard to not follow suspect.

    7. Guard stops following suspect, and suspect disappears out of sight of guard.

    8. Suspect opens window of an apartment (not his) and goes inside.

    9. With no one watching him, suspect helps himself to thousands of dollars of jewelry, Mp3 players, etc.

    10. Suspect is discovered by resident who runs to phone to call police. Suspect jumps on resident, fights with him and slashes his throat with knife suspect was carrying.

    11. Resident's wife and child appear in the room. Suspect kills them too, to avoid them being witnesses against him.

    12. Suspect, still unobserved (guard now sitting in his truck), goes to his car and drives away, completely UNOBSERVED.

    13. At end of guard shift, guard turns in incident report saying he called police and police instructed him to back off. No further knowledge of suspect or incident. (while 3 people lie dead in their apartment, completely unknown to both guards or police).

Major setback for the prosecution today with the investigators testifying that Martin's dad said it wasn't Martin on the tape. Zimmerman is going to walk.

    Martin was doing nothing suspicious.

This is where the flow chart goes back to "Security Guard goes back to reading his book".

    End of story

How do YOU know what he was doing ? I keep hearing people say Martin wasn't doing anything suspicious. How would they know ? Do they have a video tape of him ? Based on Martin's burglary history in Miami, he could very well have been looking in windows (casing the place), He was also STOPPING in the rain (unusual/suspicious). He was also WALKING SLOWLY in the rain (more suspicious behavior). In the rain, people usually walk fast, if not run.

    Uniform? No.
    Training? No.
    License? No.
Employed by an accredited security company? No.

    Easy, isn't it?

    1. The jewelry in question was never reported as stolen. You're opinion is that it was stolen. That doesn't count, sorry.
    2. The "burglary tool" was a screwdriver. I carry more "burglary tools" on my Swiss army knife. Your opinion that the screwdriver was for use in a burglary doesn't count either.
    3. Can we please now bury this stupid thread as yet another of your dismal failures?

Right; meltdown in progress! Because you maintain that NW rules are wrong that's all that matters? It's ok, you can stop failing now, because every last post here has shown you how consistently wrong you are.
How many times do you need to be told that Zimmerman was NOT a security guard? How many times do you need to be told that he did not hold a license, did not have the necessary training nor the authority to act as such? Is this sinking in now?

If I advise you not to jump off a high building, why do you think that might be?
If Florida police advise NW volunteers not to go out armed, follow a suspect or confront them, why do you think that might be? These aren't trick questions.

Yes, it's easy when you realize that "security guard" is merely a generic term which means anyone who provides security in a particular setting. See what happens when you try to use terminology of a place on another continent, when you're not there to know what you're talking about ? Let this be a lesson to you.

Martin has NO "history of burglary", nor of ANY crime. More stuff you made up-unless, of course, you can provide us with evidence of his arrests and convictions? No? Didn't think so...

I like walking in the rain, slow or fast. Arrest me on suspicion of getting wet without due cause.

Nope, a security guard is supposed to be trained, hold an appropriate license and be employed by an accredited security firm. Which of the above applies to Zimmerman?
I'm sorry but your desperate grasping at semantics, when the distinction between a Neighborhood Watch volunteer, and a professional security guard is clear to everyone but you, is a sure sign that you need to leave this failed thread.

Oh, a security guard in Britain is exactly the same as in America. Except for the lethal weapon part. Believe it or not we also have Neighbourhood Watch schemes. Their volunteers are not security guards either.

I don't "think" about why it might be. I KNOW what it is. It's because, like you, they don't know squat about security. It's not their profession, and I can tell it's not yours either. At least not HERE, in Florida.

You want to see the consequences of that stupid"advice" from the police. Click the link in the OP, and read about 295 security guards killed in the US, almost all of them unarmed. I guess nobody ever told you about how police in the USA think, huh ? Well, now you'll finally know. For your edification, in the US, police don't want anyone carrying a gun EXCEPT THEM. That is so they can always have the upper hand, not so that guards or citizens can be safe. Try to remember.

How many of those 295 were members of accredited Neighbourhood Watch schemes? And why do you have such problems distinguishing between security guards and NW volunteers? This is also not a trick question.

    1. Nobody has said anything about arresting anyone for getting wet. You can walk slow if you wish. You'll just look suspicious if you do, in thr dark, in a housing complex.

    2. You are really showing off your ignorance this morning. Apparently you haven't heard of the COVER-UP. You haven't heard of the stolen jewelry found in Martin's backpack. You didn't know the story - THE EVIDENCE ? When you're unprepared to talk here, you shouldn't.

    Read and learn >>>

On October 21st 2011, a burglary took place a few blocks from Krop Senior High School where Trayvon Martin attended. The stolen property outlined in the Miami-Dade Police Report (PD111021-422483) matches the descriptive presented by SRO Dunn in his School Police report 2011-11477.

However, there was ONE big issue. SRO Dunn never filed a criminal report, nor opened a criminal investigation, surrounding the stolen jewelry. Instead, and as a result of pressure from M-DSPD Chief Hurley to avoid criminal reports for black male students, Dunn wrote up the jewelry as “found items”, and transferred them, along with the burglary tool, to the Miami-Dade Police property room where they sat on a shelf unassigned to anyone for investigation.

The connections between the Police Burglary report and the School Report of “found items” were never made because the regular police detective in charge of the Burglary case had no idea the School Police Dept. had filed a “found items” report.

Two differing police departments, and the School Officer, Dunn, intentionally took the criminal element out of the equation – instead preferring “school discipline” and not “criminal adjudication”.

It was only when the M-DSPD Internal Affairs investigation kicked in, and six officers gave sworn affidavits, the manipulative scheme to improve criminal statistics within the School System were identified openly.

School Superintendent Alberto Carvalho gave his hire, Police Chief Hurley, instructions to reduce the criminal behavior of young black males. The chosen strategy between them, to insure optical success, was to stop using the Criminal Justice System to punish black student behavior. Instead they instructed the School Resource Officers to use school discipline in place of criminal justice.

Another approach was the use of The Baker Act, to quantify behaviors under health HIPPA law secrecy by assigning the students with psychological problems. This allowed them to again use school discipline and work around criminal reports.

Without the reports, the statistics would improve immensely; And improve they did.

The final approach, to insure no-one would find out about the manipulation, was to change the Standard Operating Procedure (SOP) for inter-agency information sharing.

This new SOP was outlined by a communications directive in 2010 forbidding the sharing of Miami-Dade School Police reports to outside agencies without redaction. Officers had to send any and all requests through the public information officer.

Hence, the furor of Chief Hurley when the Robles article hit the press and cited police reports – Hurley smelled a leaker and launched an investigation.

Ultimately the internal affairs investigation initiated by Hurley led to his own firing, because the officers questioned told the internal affairs investigators the truth of what was going on and outed the scheme.

One of the examples of this in action was the jewelry incident and Trayvon Martin – as accidentally outlined in the Herald report. But the Herald never knew their reporting had launched an internal affairs investigation which led to the collapse of the scheme.

Meanwhile the stolen jewelry from the burglary (PD111021-422483) was sitting on a shelf in the Property Room listed as (2011-11477 “found items) gathering dust.

I'll ask you again, because this is obviously eluding you. Where is the evidence of ANY conviction for ANY criminal act allegedly committed by Martin? Hint; your opinion is not evidence. "Cover up", lol:roflol:
