Don’t vacation in Turkey, Israel warns its citizens A travel advisory issued by the Israeli Prime Minister Office's counterterrorism bureau on Monday grouped Turkey together with Azerbaijan, Nigeria and Kenya as countries where there are continuous potential threats. Non-vital travel to these countries should be avoided, the advisory said, according to the Jerusalem Post. Egypt and Jordan were listed as countries where there is a "basic" level of a concrete threat. The way the situation is today, I wouldn't advise anyone to visit any Middle Eastern country. What a difference from a few years ago? The Israelis though tend to be targeted more than others.
With proper shopping you can visit Greece for almost the same price. both have the same climate only your head will stay attached to your body in Greece ( + you have their economy)

I like to think that even though Istanbul is a major tourist destination and big city, and thus a very attractive target, that the turkish authorities are well aware of that and thus it's extra protected. but still.. (*)(*)(*)(*)(*)(*)(*) I hate terrorists..
Don't worry, the Syrian refugees replaces the Israeli turists. Right now there are about 500,000 Syrian refugees in Turkey. You can find them all over the place.
