Gimmick drink.I mean, even a gutter rummy is smart enough to know not to mix
so many different types of alcohol.

Ever had one? Pretty amazing that you don't really taste the alcohol. One'll do ya, though. Don't get crazy.

Personally I can't cotton the thought of Cola.based entirely on what I've seen it do
to a couple buddies in years past. They were Cola addicts.Cola and Cigs
are EXTREMELY addictive.Once used in the teenage years it's ALL Over. That's it.
I have seen it so often it's almost mind-boggling.A Teenager is allowed to drink
Coke or Pepsi all day,any day and then they take up cigarette smoking.
It's unbelievable the damage. That person becomes addicted.Their life becomes
a literal pursuit of sugar water { Coke, pepsi,Mountain dew } and cigarettes.
The fastest way to ruin a body.
    I'm glad you agree.
    Or do you.

One of THE first things one learns when achieving Enlightenment is to never
fall prey to peer pressure.Peer pressure is normal and to be expected during childhood.
But once in High School and able to sift thru on ones own the practice of
Clique mentality { I addressed this often at the Old Yahoo boards } then one
advances to the infancy of Enlightenment. That being ... don't let others make up
yer mind { Rebel Without a Cause } because it usually ends up with either a dependency
towards peer pressure or following the wrong dog in the fight.
Stand yer ground but also stay open to ideas. But seldom peer pressure.
If one has to rely on groupthink to advance their maturity or friendships, then they
are falling into a trap. It's take age and experience to know ones real friends
from the cotton candy type who seem fluffy and sweet, but are neither.

    I just heard on Greta where those 3 teens { black } who beat a 13 yr.old
    white kid on a school bus { Video showing punching and kicking like Hells Angels }
were granted Indeterminate probation and have to wear ankle bracelets for 60 days.
This is appalling.Shocking. Those kids should have been sent straight to Juvenile
Reform school for 2 years minimum. They get off with nothing but a slap on the ankle.
The practically killed that 13 yr.old white kid. He could have sustained a serious
concussion.Maybe they were in the throes of a Coca-Cola withdrawal and wanted
that white kids can of pepsi. But he already done drank it.

BTW the reason I'm agin Pop or Soda Pop { Coke etc. } is because as a child
we weren't allowed to drink it except on special occasions.Special weekends usually
saturday afternoons on the beach or out on our boat.Mainly because my parents were Soclalites
and it wasn't feaseable to have little cartons of milk { I don't think they even had little cartons' of milk in the 60's } inside a cooler.
If I had my way as a young teen,I would have managed to get drunk drinkin' pop.
In fact I did once.I remember going to a picnic at a neighbors and they had a big steel garbage
can filled with bottles of pop. Then another short steel wash bucket filled with Pop.
We call it Pop in Ohio.I'll never forget keeping count of how may I drank.I drank 11.
Eleven bottles of Pop.I don't even remember getting sick.I loved pop.
But It was forbidden in our house.I still snuck Pop { I knew where my Mom hide it.
She liked her Fresca. That was the original Fresca { Not Low calorie }.
And my old man liked his Vernors. They had a pop distributor in Cleveland called
Cotton Club { might have been from Canada .} They had something called 50/50.
A Real citrus drink with bits of rind that made a smokey look when pouring.
It was a Lemon/Lime drink.I loved the stuff. When I went off to college I was already
a beer drunk. Therefore no need for Pop.

There is a deal at Macdonald's, don't know for how much longer, but two sausage egg and cheese macmuffins for $3.

It's pretty good, they always forget to butter my muffins but other than that its a steal.

    Hey y'all!
Can't stay long. Whupped hard tonight.
Pain is/was almost unbearable. It's only been in last half hour that I've come close to being in *front* of, instead of chasing the pain all damn day.

Feels like I got punched really hard in the throat.
Surg itself went great...he got all the tumor & had "clean margins".
(He even watched my videos last night! How freakin' cool is that?)

Worn plum out...need to get some sleep.
Thanks everyone for everything y'all do/have done for me & my family.
You guys are amazing & fantastic & I adore y'all.

    See ya soonest!

hope all is well, was that a surgery for the thyroid since it's near the throat? the thyroid is a very small gland, but it controls so many important things like harmones, and if it is not doing its job, it can make you feel really bad.

Cancerous lesion, developed as a result of having contracted HPV.
Ya see I've made mention of that a time or two.

Well, hell. That sounded downright cranky & I aoplogize.
Having a very hard time, "PTSD" wise this hospital stay.

Something *not* helped a'tall by the Dr needing to give me steroids to help reduce swelling.
Ruh-roh! Steroids = PED = I won't get to play for Rangers after all!

Oh well-who's blocking thy juke box?
Oh good Lo-rd...did someone shoot the dang blasted thing again?

I really like { almost Love } McD's Sausage egg mcmuffins.I know they probably ain't
too done healthy. But talk about a meal in a wrap.Old Timers really go for McDs
sausage biscuits.Or just plain sausage on a McMuffin bun { English muffin }.
I can't eat McD's biscuits.I think it's on account they use baking soda and are
full of sodium.I'm not real big on their new muffins that are laced with kiddie
maple syrup flavor.I eat at McD about twice a month.I had a dollar sandwich
a week ago.I just felt like a McChicken. It was really good.Hit the spot.
    I prefer the Southern Style chicken sandwich.But it's overpriced { $ 3.90 }
and the bun kinda sucks { a white castle style bun }.
So I saran wrap my own slice of bread with a piece of swiss cheese and put in
my cooler for when Grocery shopping in the big city.

This is my first post here, and I can't say I know everyone on a informal level yet, but I must admit that it's nice to leave the political hostilities aside and engage in normal conversations. As it regards everyone's dear friend Tresha, I'm also glad to hear of her recovery. And I wish everyone the best of health.

I'll make it a frequent habit, it's not every day you get to speak with other intellectuals in a non feisty setting.
