"Recovery Summer" number.... Well, with full-time jobs plummeting and part-time jobs skyrocketing, it's no wonder employee compensation is falling. Welcome to Obama's America! Personal Income, Spending Miss; Employee Compensation Plunges
Well that's a pretty poor argument, posting some sort of picture. Do you have any thoughts on actual causes though? I mean, I don't think a picture has much to do with potential causes. So, put away the slogans and have a think about it.
Oh gee, let's see. Maybe heavy-handed government regulations, war on businesses like coal, weighing the country down with significant debt, forcing people to buy health care insurance, forcing companies to provide health care insurance. Perhaps it's YOU who needs to have a little think about it, as it's already obvious to even the most casual observer.
I get it. Obama is the little girl, and the USA is the brother. Yep, looks about right to me as well.
Elections have consequences. I just hope the people who suffer the most voted for Obama twice. It's only fair that they pay their fair share.
Still just a bunch of slogans and generalities - do you have something a bit more specific - sort of cause and effect?
No it is the detractors that state and post redundant slogans, without any real facts that is required to back the argument yet is never provided, ie. taxes, regulations, et al.
This was happening well before Obama, employers lost any sense of obligation to their workers and with the job market unless you have pretty much unique sets of skills are expendable in the global economy if the job can be outsourced. Just accept the way things are nothing is going to change.
In this case size doesn't matter. Nor does colour. A different set of words that link together and point out cause and effect would be much better than any cake decoration. Never mind though, I'll leave it at that.
And that's the reality. I need to make it perfectly clear that I don't expect employers to hire people out of the goodness of their heart. This is capitalism, it's where businesses compete with one another and where the bottom line for investors is important. Of course a business will look to cut costs in any way it can, especially if its management is a bit slow on the concept of "productivity". Cutting costs is a lot easier than developing methods of increasing productivity where the workforce and management develop ways of increasing their productivity. I just get cheesed off reading the same old slogans and broad-brush statements which don't make a lot of sense and which tell me nothing. I would like to read some persuasive points about why things are the way they are rather than a load of old partisan cobblers.
The Compensation drop has happened under Obama. Sure he inherited a mess, but keeping it a mess is on him. 5 years of a lousy economy, and a government that only makes it worse, will do this to jobs and compensation.
OK I'll go with new regulations that are oppressive to employers, driving them to put employees at part time because providing benefits under Obama is outrageously expensive!!!
Uh huh... forcing free birth control, removing lifetime limits and preexisting conditions, none of these will raise costs! It's a myth I tell ya! lmao@obamaloyalistswhodrinkthekoolaid
I'm sorry......you seem to misunderstand. First, my comment was directed at a specific claim that employers are going to cut hours to avoid Obamacare mandate. That is untrue. Second.....covering contraceptives ( not free, covered like any drug) actually saves money. Lots of it. Have you heard of any insurance company complaining about having to cover contraceptives? Hmmmmm? Removing restrictions makes sense. Insurance companies are paid to INSURE people. Duh!
You should learn something about economics before commenting on it. HINT: As long as Republicans keep blocking attempts to end trickle-down, the economy is THEIRS!!
They're already cutting hours to avoid the Obamacare mandate. Since you opened with such a blatant lie, I stopped right there. https://www.google.com/#q=employers+cutting+hours+because+of+obamacare&safe=off Even ThinkProgress is admitting it, though trying to spin as best they can by saying "very few" are cutting hours. I am not sure whether your problem is dishonesty or ignorance of the issue. However, once you figure it out, I encourage you to continue attempting to make your points. Until then, take a hike.
http://www.cepr.net/documents/publications/aca-job-killer-2013-07.pdf Where you hiking to, bro? One thing you will never catch me doing is lying. I am wrong on occasion....but lying is more of a nutter thing on an anonymous forum. Think. Please.
This is actually reflective of the Post-Bush economy and the problem is exacerbated by the Republican tax agenda based upon ensuring the lowest possible tax burden relative to income for high income investors that is less than 1/2 of the tax burden relative to income for the workers in America.
