A good deal of these things have been "laid out"(albeit, through alternative media). The big problem is America's political apathy and its dupability. The people in this country honestly believe "It can't happen here", without recognizing that it's already happened. If you can be gullible and apathetic, you're ripened for control. No state exists more perfectly for a dictator than Modern America.
Yes, but due to regulations, many are not known until half a century after they happen. By which time it is too late to hold those responsible accountable. I wonder how much it costs the US taxpayer to fund the NSA and the CIA annually?
I know I would LOVE to see all of our covert crap laid bare. Expose them to the sun and their corruption will wither.
I have a feeling it would actually be so bad that it would cause a huge psychological shock among Americans, and further afield. I think they have been up to just about everything you can list as criminal and against the interests of Americans + often Presidents. The US had THIRTEEN intelligence agencies. My word, the money that could be spent on making it a near utopia.
The theory of that premise is explained here... [video=youtube;f462ya0DC0g]http://www.youtube.com/watch?feature=player_detailpag e&v=f462ya0DC0g[/video]
You seem to misunderstand. What I am saying is that Obama is smart enough to know when he's been outsmarted and take advantage of it, rather than send in the Marines. If it was Obama's idea or not is irrelevant. Putin and Obama are now on much friendlier terms, no children in Syria are being gassed and if agreements are followed Syria will soon not even be able to gas any more. Bush or McCain would have had troops in Syria by now, Russians or no, and there would go another trillion down the rat hole with Americans probably being gassed in the bargain. I will repeat myself because the meaning seems lost upon you. What Obama wanted was what Obama got, and it cost us no money and no American lives, that much is indisputable All states are rogue states. Being unaccountable and answerable to nothing and no one is the very definition of being sovereign Then look about you. The real genius of most powerful nations in the modern world is that they hide their deepest secrets in plain sight.
*L* Clever.. Naw. Here, I see 9/11 conspiracy proponents drawing the conclusion that the only reason people won't accept what they consider to be evidence for government orchestration of or involvement in 9/11 is cognitive dissonance, having belief systems challenged, etc. I don't buy that, because I for one have no qualms about accepting that the US government was responsible for 9/11, yet I have not seen evidence to convince me of the fact. I've seen people talk about there being evidence, but what they present is very weak. They present material that is comparable to the so-called evidence for a hoaxed moon landing, in fact. I have yet to see anything of value come from the 9/11 truth movement.
No evidence has been presented which suggests Assad has gassed anybody. - - - Updated - - - Bingo!! Hallalluhah!! Clearly it hadn't occured to the "experts" in those video clips that it is THEY who are suffering from cognitive dissonance.
As someone said above ....open your eyes we see it all Jack the trouble is most people just want an easy life an shall do noting until pushed....and pushed hard ! the PtB have it sussed we have our TVs and just about all our comforts and fear of loosing our homes and all the rest we all know ............. no different than ever really. bed time xxxx night pet xxxx
OK fine, I should have added ; ("assuming that the Syrian government and not the rebels had gassed them") Or are you arguing that nobody was really gassed? I had been given to understand that several credible sources had confirmed that many injuries and deaths were consistent with Chemical Weapons and nothing else. (though there were, of course, casualties from other sources too.) If the rebels did the gassing it almost had to come from CW they had taken from government stockpiles, and now these will be gone too.
No. Please try to take things in their FULL context, that way you won't make so many elementary errors. Go back and read how we speculating on what people's minds would be like if the CIA etc were laid bare. Then factor THE PREMISE of what the psychologists are saying(as I stated) into this. See now?
I already saw it earlier. You (and those PhDs) want to believe that people aren't accepting 9/11 truther claims for reasons other than a lack of evidence. You want to think that they're denying it due to cognitive dissonance or whatever. I'm simply disagreeing, in large part because I have yet to see convincing evidence for government involvement in 9/11 personally. Where is it?
Still not getting it. I will try one time. The point of it was NOT 911 per se. Okay? NOT 911. - - - Updated - - - If what were exposed? And why would they deny it in whole or in part ?
Got it loud and clear.. Well, many "its," really. Americans have been experimented on unknowingly. Our government has at least considered planning a false flag attack on this country. This country entered Viet Nam under false pretenses, claiming there was an attack on one of our ships when there wasn't. We entered Iraq under false pretenses as well, that time over lies based on faulty or falsified intelligence. These are things we've learned about at some point after the fact. I shudder to think how bad the secrets that are still secret could be. I'm sure there are things in that would blow people's minds.. Government involvement in 9/11 could be among them. I don't know. I haven't seen sufficient evidence to accept it so far. Were such evidence to be revealed, I would accept it, provided it was something solid. I don't know how other Americans would react, but I think many would have a much harder time with it than I would.
Interesting interview from perspective of this (rather bloody charming) Syrian girl. [video=youtube;kOsWmZnD5Kw]https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=kOsWmZnD5Kw&feature=player_embedded[/video]
Even if you leave out 911, the rest (which has been going on now for 60yrs+) should SURELY be evidence enough that the US State, whatever it once began is, is now sort some sort of viscous, twisted, terrorist state, right? The point(as well), is that during the time of MKUltra and Operation Paperclip, if someone had told you THEN, would you have believed it? No. You would have dismissed them as a crackpot and 'conspiracy theorist'. A bit like people who believe themselves to be enlightened do today in fact.
We should neither be supporting Assad nor the rebels indiscriminately. There is a strong but loose faction of secular democratic people who and are being squeezed from both sides. "As it stands, the secular and democratic left rebels in Syria are outnumbered. Their voice is too weak in the country, and its natural allies in the West – the left – are again spending their time endlessly ensuring we all know how much they dislike the US; the Stop the War Coalition predictably makes no mention of the struggle of the secular and democratic left in Syria; shows no support for the secular and democratic left in Syria, but bizarrely in an article on Syrian intervention, manages to attack Tony Blair. The democratic, secular voices in Syria – the voices we must support – suffer heavily as a result of internal conflict, and external ignorance. " Ahrar ash-Sham are the most powerful rebel force in the region, boasting around 20,000 members over 50 units around Aleppo and Hama. Ahrar ash-Sham call for an Islamic state. They are allied with Jabhat al-Nusra Front. Al-Nusra Front is an al-Qaeda associate Jihadist group who also wish to see the Assad regime replaced by an Islamic caliphate, under harsh Sharia conditions. Al-Nusra insist that upon their victory, entertainment that al-Nusra consider “immoral”, would be banned. They are the Taliban of the Syrian conflict. In January 2012, al-Nusra claimed responsibility for a suicide attack in Al-Midan, in which 26 people died – most of whom, were innocent civilians. http://futiledemocracy.wordpress.com/2013/09/02/syria-secular-democracy-must-be-the-goal/ We should be developing a strategy to and unite Western oriented groups in Syria that support the right to expression, voting rights and a Democratic secular infrastructure.
I wouldn't believe claims about government abuse without some evidence attached, but I would also want to see those claims investigated, at least if the claims were coming from somewhere on the inside.
WOW was it hard to watch Obama trying to flub his way thru the Syria speech. I couldn't watch it all- it was that hard to watch. What a puppet he has become UGGGH. No Obama- we ain't buyin' what you are dishing out. NO NO NO WAR!
Pentagon Reverses Position and Admits U.S. Troops Used White Phosphorus Against Iraqis in Fallujah The U.S. government has now admitted its troops used white phosphorus as an incendiary weapon against Iraqis during the assault on Fallujah a year ago. Chemical weapons experts say such attacks are in violation of international law banning the use of chemical weapons. We speak with columnist George Monbiot and the news director of RAI TV, the Italian TV network that produced the film "Fallujah: The Hidden Massacre." AMY GOODMAN: While reporters have noted the use of white phosphorus since the war began, it only became a major story last Tuesday when Italian state broadcaster, RAI TV, aired the documentary, Fallujah: The Hidden Massacre. On that same day, Democracy Now! aired an excerpt of the documentary here in the United States and interviewed Lieutenant Colonel Steve Boylan, the director of the Pentagons Combined Press Information Center in Baghdad. During our broadcast, Boylan denied the claims made in the documentary that white phosphorus was used as a weapon to target Iraqis. LT. COL. STEVE BOYLAN: I know of no cases where people were deliberately targeted by the use of white phosphorus. Again, I did not say white phosphorus was used for illumination. White phosphorus is used for obscuration, which white phosphorus produces a heavy thick smoke to shield us or them from view so that they cannot see what we are doing. It is used to destroy equipment, to destroy buildings. That is what white phosphorus shells are used for. AMY GOODMAN: That was Lieutenant Colonel Steve Boylan, speaking on Democracy Now! last Tuesday. But the Pentagon was caught in a lie after it was revealed that an official Army publication called Field Artillery magazine had disclosed the Army had, in fact, used white phosphorus as a weapon. The magazine in its March/April issue reported, quote, "White phosphorus proved to be an effective and versatile munition and a potent psychological weapon against the insurgents in trench lines and spider holes." The magazine went on to report, quote, "We fired 'shake and bake' missions at the insurgents using W.P. [white phosphorus] to flush them out and H.E. [high explosives] to take them out." On Tuesday, Lieutenant Colonel Barry Venable, another Pentagon spokesperson, admitted on the BBC that white phosphorus was used as an offensive weapon to target insurgents.... AMY GOODMAN: That was Giuliana Sgrena. And now Jeff Englehart, who is a former U.S. soldier. REPORTER: Were any chemical weapons used in Fallujah? JEFF ENGLEHART: From the U.S. military, yeah, absolutely. White phosphorus. Possibly napalm may or may not have been used; I do not know. I do know that white phosphorus was used, which is definitely, without a shadow of a doubt, a chemical weapon. REPORTER: Is he sure of it? JEFF ENGLEHART: Yes. It happened. REPORTER: How can he be certain? JEFF ENGLEHART: Well, it comes across radio as a general transmission. When it happens like that, you hear it on the radio through we have speakers in our trucks speakers and then the transmission goes to the speakers, so its audible. And as theyd say, "In five [inaudible], were going drop some Whiskey Pete." "Roger. Commence bombing." I mean, it just comes across the radio, and like, when you hear "Whiskey Pete," thats the military slang. NARRATOR: Contrary to what was said by the U.S. State Department, white phosphorus was not used in the open field to illuminate enemy troops. For this, tracer was used. A rain of fire shot from U.S. helicopters on the city of Fallujah on the night of the 8th of November. [inaudible] will show you in this exceptional documentary, which proves that a chemical agent was used in a massive and indiscriminate way in districts of Fallujah. In the days that followed, U.S. satellite images showed Fallujah burned out and razed to the ground. JEFF ENGLEHART: The gases from the warhead of the white phosphorus will disperse in a cloud. And when it makes contact with skin, then its absolutely irreversible damage, burning flesh to the bone. It doesnt necessarily burn clothes, but it will burn the skin underneath clothes. And this is why protective masks do not help, because it will burn right through the mask, the rubber of the mask. It will manage to get inside your face. If you breathe it, it will blister your throat and your lungs until you suffocate, and then it will burn you from the inside. It basically reacts to skin, oxygen and water. The only way to stop the burning is with wet mud. But at that point, its just impossible to stop. REPORTER: Have you seen the effects of these weapons? JEFF ENGLEHART: Yes. Burned. Burned bodies. I mean, it burned children, and it burned women. White phosphorus kills indiscriminately. Its a cloud that will within, in most cases, 150 meters of impact will disperse, and it will burn every human being or animal. AMY GOODMAN: That was Jeff Englehart, who is a former U.S. soldier, speaking from Colorado. As we wrap up, Maurizio Torrealta of RAI, where he is being broadcast, the documentary Fallujah: The Hidden Massacre. The response in Italy, not to mention the rest of the world, to this documentary? MAURIZIO TORREALTA: The response in Italy is bizarre, because when we broadcast it, we had one day before, having some response, because then we had two days of strike. The newspaper were on strike. So there were a few newspaper that wrote about it, and then there was a silence for two days. And then again there was nothing, nothing for three or four days. But actually, now, yesterday and the day before, it was the first news on the first page. Why? Because it came from outside. At that point, the news had been bounced in the United States, in England, and it became some information transformed themselves in news and now is the news. And now, yesterday was a major newsbreak of the major channel of the Italian television. So it has been a strange, very strange [inaudible]. The news really has been diffused, but didnt have a reaction right now. It seemed like there are two different media that are fighting: One media which is based on the internet and which is based on the net and on streaming and has a different way to spread around; and the other media, the mainstream media, which is very slow, very much controlled, and doesnt come out right away with information, only after it became something bigger. That is my impression, which is not doesnt make me happy at all http://www.democracynow.org/2005/11/17/pentagon_reverses_position_and_admits_u The US used chemical weapons, white phosphorous, unlawfully against civilians in Iraq, in Falluja.
I could not watch it either, I just cannot get past the initial lie and keep listening, Obama speaking of Assad using chemical weapons as a fact. We still have not seen the evidence to prove that is true. It is too much like what happened in Iraq, and I knew that was a lie then, too.
