I think you want it to be a news event, but the media isn't willing to spend monies on something that will not give them a return for their dollars. There is coverage on the internet and thats enough at this point.

They were causing all kinds of traffic jams in DC, why couldn't they be patriotic in their country towns with wide open landscapes?

Our President had motorcades to run that day, those bikers were nothing but a nuisance.

People forget that only 0.8% of the United States are Muslims. That's 2.6 million. Did the organizers seriously expect over 1/3rd of all the Muslims in the country to show up?

What's behind calling it the Million Moonbat March? I don't get it.

    Ahh, now I see :p

Even with groups I really despise like the Westboro Baptist Church or the Australian Greens Party, I try to avoid name-calling. Never saw the point, doesn't advance my argument. Usually prevents others from seeing my viewpoint, because they assume that I'm stuck in a dogmatic worldview.

Reasoned, respectful discussion has a fairly high success rate in my experience.

I couldn't care less about Islam until it starts coercing me.

One might have said in 1942 that Nazism was the enemy of every living thing on the planet. While I completely agree that Nazism is wrong and horrible, etc - it's easy to go too far, and all of a sudden you're banning political parties and symbols.

I hate coercion in all its forms. To the extent that individual Muslims are coercive, I hate them too. But as I have no problem with the neo-Nazis using the Seig heil sign, or putting up a Nazi flag on their lawn, I have no problem with the Muslim who yells "Allahu Akbar!" While standing under the flag of Al Qaeda on his lawn.

"Anti-Muslim rhetoric ????? " You mean like being in opposition to wife-beating, massive sex discrimination, rape, pedophilia, animal cruelty, torture/mutilation, murder, sedition, and being in support of pork products, dogs, and the US Constitution Supremacy Clause ? THAT anti-Muslim "rhetoric" ?

The problem is that you are so far off topic; in case you forgot, we were discussing the mainstream media's alleged failure to cover the march to your standards and not the so-called decline of the best medical system in the world. If you want to discuss that, then start up a new thread.

Wrong. You have one individual that wanted to start something. You have the Liberal media going out of their way to hype the event. And you have an American public that refused to rise to the ideas behind the event. This is becoming an all too familiar scene in DC. Obama's Organization for America has held several rallies for Liberal causes/agenda items where the turnout have been small to non-existent. The fact is that America is not rising to the Liberal agenda as they did in the two presidential election cycles.

You believe covering a story, or passing on a story, affects their bottom line? If, as a MSM outlet, they do not see anyone else covering a story they don't want to cover... how exactly do they lose money... oh oracle of capitalism?

They do have a point about the pedophile stuff though.

Them saying "it was custom at the time to take young brides" means nothing. Either it's wrong or it isn't.

When minority groups (militant Muslims, blacks, Hispanics, etc.) stage protest marches, rallies, and demonstrations, white Christian conservatives always gleefully mock and ridicule them for not living up to their advanced billing. These active and militant minority groups claim they'll have a million participants, or whatever, and when only a thousand or so show up, conservatives are quick to make fun of them.

Okay ... so only a few thousand, or even a few hundred, or even a dozen show up. Even a dozen on the street is a dozen more than conservatives can rally! Conservatives are squeamish petty wimps who are afraid to take their grievances to the street. Instead of getting out there on the street and making noise and getting media attention, they choose to say they're "above that." The only protest actions conservatives ever take is to write letters to editors and gripe about it on blogs and message boards.

It's no wonder that minorities bully and push these gutless white conservative sheep around.

At least minority groups do something. Even if only six minorities show up, that's six more than conservatives can field.

Yeah, you're right of course. The bikers did show up -- but not a million of them. And tea party rallies can sometimes draw a pretty good sized crowd. But none of them ever do anything except peacefully stand around; quote the now-obsolete constitution, wave flags; and hope some minorities don't show up and beat them down.

Conversely, when minorities stage rallies, they mean business! They take it to the streets to tear up things, throw rocks, set fires to old tires, break windows, and scare the caca out of all the crackers. And it works! Their demands are always met!

Actually it was 1.2 million riders that showed up. The city was so worried about it getting coverage that they ran loops of traffic cam footage, some of which showed snow on the ground. The riders that came in from LA formed a line 4 lanes wide that stretched 55 miles. I met a "small" line on I 80 the other day heading west. It was four wide, but only about 5 miles long.
