Americans are exceptional because they live by a constitution from the 1700s

We already have misinterpreted the First Amendment, now the Left would like to take the Second Amendment away from us. Maybe our forefathers were smarter then we are today.

if the government denies any part of the constitution who is there to enforce it?

How about grand jury indictment for any crime? Ever get a traffic ticket? I bet there was not a grand jury indictment before you got it.

How about a jury for anything over 20 dollars? Nope instead they created a small claims court that would save you money and you have attorneys that have made a rubber stamp business out of the it with the corrupt judges in their RICO scheme.

Likewise with the municipalities. Another rubber stamp business because to save you money.
Fining 16 years olds for having a beer at a friends house.

Those are 2 constitutional rights that the supreme court admitted you do not have period.

    To much at one time?

A Grand Jury for any crime? Do you realize how that would tie up the courts and cost you money? You have the right to fight any law brought against you, even a traffic ticket.

It is sad you have to lecture someone on a political forum about how their constitution works :(

Well it seems to have worked pretty well over the last 350 years or so. And although there is no set constitution like the US, there are a series of Parliamentary Bills that restrict what can and can not be done

Up until very recently people were being seated in Parliament for nothing more than being born to the last guy who sat there. If you call that working pretty well then, ok, sure.

I am putting this up not because I reviewed it and agree with the author but because the little that I did read did not trigger and set off my bull(*)(*)(*)(*) flags and seems to generally address your point.

gone re-read just hit a huge red flag

actually it is your story defacto today.

And if we review Great Britain's history we don't see it has held them back all that badly

Americans are exceptional because they have to repeat their nationality over and over again (everyday in schools), keep flags everywhere, chant their national anthem even in domestic events in order not to forget it . They are also so uncertain why they want to be Americans that they have to constantly think that they are #1 in everything , if a stat show them in #21 it is a reason of national shame . I can go into insecurity but it will make my post too big.

New constitutions are not always better than the old ones, Egypt has an article dictating that a man married to a foreign woman can not be President of the republic... i wouldn't call this modernity .

That is the House of Lords (Upper House) and hereditary peerages you are referring to. The House of Commons (Lower House), is where all the action is.

Hitler's Nazis were quite capable of murdering anyone that opposed them, and they did so with relish. Golden Dawn model themselves on the Nazis, are equally dumb, and so this should come as no surprise.

He is not the first nor the last member of the plutocracy that ignores the Constitution.

Umm, what needs to be updated? And even more, it's none of your concern.

The only way to really update the constitution would be through a constitutional convention. It can't be left up to the Senate or House to tinker around the edges with it. And a constitutional convention would lead to more civil unrest than can be imagined.

For all practical purposes, case law is what updates our laws most frequently.

As the Supreme Court has shown us, the letter of the law is far less important than how it is interpreted.

For example, a strict reading of the 2nd Amendment implies that only militias truly have the right to bear arms. Case law has determined that individuals have this right.

This has also played significant parts with ending segregation and defining abortion as a right.

The Constitution has been updated 17 times since the Bill of Rights was adopted. The last time was in 1992.

Fair enough, but what is your response to slavery? (since you seem eager to respond to it ;) )
