Defending your homeland vs. your ideals

No, I don't think so, but that's neither what I said nor what I meant. In war people are often made destitute and lands and cities destroyed, but people largely remain.

 

I'd do a cost and benefit analysis. Is the current government doing more harm than an invasion would do? In that case I'd support the invasion, but otherwise no.

Did this invading force just come out of nowhere, or has their whole belief system been open to study for a long time? If they were new to the scene, or to my awareness, I would be very skeptical.
Your premise has a lot in common with my feelings right here in our own country. There used to be a whole lot more about America that I felt loyal to. Now the liberals have invaded, and really made a mess of it.
If a Liberal army were to mass on the Queerlyfornia border, threatening Nevada with the ultimatum to either join them or face armed conflict, I would stay on the Nevada side, and burn out every barrel on every gun I own.

 

Truthfully, provided I had the means to leave I would likely wouldn't either. I'm not dying for our government. Screw that.
