That means that the majority of americans DO NOT trust the people that are governing our very country.


I have not seen 1 in 10 syrians say a bad word about Assad, even during this whole syrian issue.

I find the ignorant believe that the people are killing for islam. But have you ever wondered if the people are dying to defend the people under oppression?

 

Would it not be more productive to increase my knowledge (and lessen my ignorance) by doing as requested and explaining to me the reasons my perception is invalid rather than simply saying I am ignorant and wrong?

I well understand the concept of violent uprising to end oppression, but also recognize blatant violence created by hatred and the influence of religious dogmatic teachings.

Photos are fake? A BBC journalist gave a live nightime report and in the background were similar live images of heavy leisurely traffic..
TBH though, I was a little surprised to see how so many people were getting on with their lives in Damascas just a few miles away from the civil war zone.

The Assad government is not an Islamonazi, the rebels are. First of all Assad is an Alawite, and they are close to the Shias Muslims not the Sunnis. The Alawites are also very tolerant of other faiths, that is why the minorities, and especially the Christians look towards Assad's army for protection from the terrorist groups...which of course we are supporting. You figure?

 

What is pathetic, is that the Syrians were bragging about how lovely Syria had become before the fighting broke out. Did the West do it? One can only wonder, especially if it's true that Assad wouldn't allow an oil pipeline that would lessen Russia's energy control on Europe. I mean look at the mess we made in Libya?

Time I think we should do the world a favor and butt out of the Middle East. If Europe think it's worth destroying countries to lessen Russia's monopoly, then let them fight it out between themselves.

My pops slapped me in the head, when I was about 12 (35 yrs ago) for saying 'just nuke the camel jockeys', as I sided with israel over palestine, during a news feed. he said, 'dont take a side on such matters without observing both sides'.
