A couple of good factual resources: http://www.cnn.com/2013/09/26/health/obamacare-open-enrollment/?hpt=he_c1 http://aspe.hhs.gov/health/reports/2013/MarketplacePremiums/ib_marketplace_premiums.cfm An informed public is an enemy of the anti-healthcare crowd. And to those who have been part of that partisan crowd to date, it's still in your best interest to learn the facts about the law, rather than get irrationally frightened.
SEIU Workers Go On Strike Over Job Cuts Related To Obamacare Ironically, the SEIU vowed earlier this month to help implement Obamacare. Via Washington Examiner: http://washingtonexaminer.com/seiu-unionists-strike-over-obamacare-related-cuts/article/2536458 Members of the Columbus, Ohio-based Service Employees International Union Local 1 have gone on strike over recent job cuts by a janitorial company called Professional Maintenance. The reason for the cuts? The employer says it is because of the Affordable Care Act, aka Obamacare. This is ironic since SEIU is a major supporter of the law. [Excerpt] Read more: http://weaselzippers.us/2013/09/26/seiu-workers-go-on-strike-over-job-cuts-related-to-obamacare/ Seems that more and more unions are balking against ObamaCare. Guess they were for it before they were against it.
Wellllllll . . . Obama bribed the unions with billions of TARP dollars during his first year in office, and so it took quite a while for the average union member to wake up and smell the shlt embedded inside Obamacare, which in their case was the fact that . . . they HAD to participate in it. Nothing bad was supposed to apply to Obama's union allies but they discovered that once he had finished using them to get re-elected in 2012 then he no longer 'had their backs' in any way whatsoever. The community organizer used them and then tossed them aside . . . and now they are ANGRY.
The Washington Examiner is not very credible.. http://washingtonexaminer.com/updat...cause-its-1984-all-over-again/article/2512618 Many employers cuts jobs, reduce hours, etc., and such trends began years ago. Some find it politically convenient to blame ObamaCare, as it shifts away the blame, which is especially amusing now since the employer mandate was actually delayed a year.
Then that shows a problem with the employer behavior and needs to be delt with by as a labor problem, not an Obamacare problem. We have a health care problem in this country that needs to be fixxed, so quit whining about it and take your medicine unless you want to wind up like this;
