Sheriff Joe Arpaio institutes cost-saving, vegetarian meals for inmates

Even a broken clock is right twice a day...

I can get behind this, because those guys gave up the right to be selective about what they eat the second they decided to commit a crime that sent them to prison...

 

That's the really crazy part... liberals want to force free people (children) to eat vegetables, but they cry and complain when jailed inmates are forced to do the same thing.

 

All of them? How many were just simply rounded up by Arpaio's lynchmob because they had brown skin?

You have to admit, Arapio's hypocrisy is stunning....

The money saved will be used to line his own nest at taxpayer expense. And he's not doing it out of concern for the inmates, he's doing it because he knows they will hate it, and he's a hatemonger.

As to the diet, sounds like a Win -Win.

Joe is beginning to tread on some thin ice now. He'd better watch his steps and tread lightly. So far, he's managed to humiliate his inmates by making them wear pink panties and live in tents and stuff (or whatever he's doing), but he probably shouldn't be trying to force a liberal, vegan diet of veggies on them. (Hate to say it, but I sympathize with the inmates on this particular issue.)

Inmates are kind of like soldiers. Soldiers complain, whine and gripe about everything but if you feed 'em good (meat and taters), they'll remain loyal and do anything you tell them to do. If Sheriff Joe tries to punish them by messing with their food, they' probably riot and burn down the whole tent city.

So back off Joe. You can beat, humiliate, flog them, chain-gang them, or whatever, but don't [expletive] mess with their chow!

 

Haven't you heard, law enforcement isn't allowed to arrest illegals unless they commit a crime. Or is he supposed to not only let criminals go because they have Brown skin?

 

Damn right he is doing it because they'll hate it. His goal is to make it so tough on prisoners that they will never want to come back to his jail. I think that is a pretty good goal to work for as many prisoners are repeat offenders.

 

Poor inmates, so mistreated with their free room and board and food. What did they ever do to deserve such mistreatment, anyway?

 

These bleeding heart Liberals really get me. We make it so easy in prison now days with television, library, weight rooms, three meals a day, free doctors care, etc. it's no wonder when many of these prisoners get out and have to make it on their own, they commit more crimes, because it's easier in prison than being on the street and doing it yourself.

Here is Sheriff Joe wanting to stop that by making jail as uncomfortable as he can. He has to let them have television, so he only lets them watch council meetings and other non programs. He makes them wear pint underwear, took away their coffee, salt and pepper, dirty magazines, makes many sleep out in military tents like our soldiers have to. Cuts meals down to the minimum allowed, Has chain gangs, but they have to volunteer for it. No one is forced to do it, but many will just to get out of jail for a few hours a day. etc. etc. Now how many of you would like to come back to that environment after getting out? Instead of looking up to a man like that, bleeding heart Liberals condemn him. But he is doing what the people in this county keep electing him to do. Although our President has seen fit to stop him from arresting illegals unless they commit a major crime. Which has brought more and more illegals in trying to jump on the citizenship bandwagon. Thanks Libs.

 

He's a public servant, his salary comes from taxpayers....

 

Then leave him alone and allow him to do what we elected him to do. Quit bleeding for the prisoners and worry about the citizens that they have offended.

This is why I could never vote for the GOP. The voting base at large is so quick to dog on anyone who shows any opinion that is not remotely theirs. (even if they feel the same exact way on a subject)

Yep. have 2 hardcore liberals in my family and they were hardcore vegans as well. Their kids were always sickly. Doctor finally told them they needed to feed them some meat. Now they, begrudgingly, eat some turkey and chicken, but only if it is "organic".

It's time for ObamaPrisonCare.....it's time the poor tax payers get some relief from these thugs. Instead of sucking our tax dollars to pay for them, ObamaPrisonCare will give the inmate and his/her family two choices....allow the state to bill the family for the total cost of the inmate's room, board, incidentals, etc or allow them to use the reduced billing plan whereby the family provides the food, clothing and gets the bill only for any remaining costs.

Yeah, all that you mentioned, but the biggest reasons for inmates wanting to be in prison is that they get to have sex with the female guards and do drugs brought into prison by the staff. (The prison staff is not searched when they come on duty.)

Why would any man want to be free and on the street when he can have everything a man wants in prison? Heck, sometimes I think that I might want to live a carefree, happy, la-la land life in jail. But wait! I don't have the right pigment or plumbing.

 

Don't forget vegetarian diets causes hyper-flatulation ... this will not improve the attitudes of the inmates ... to the delight of Arpaio.

 

WTF does your opinion of what you THINK Arpaio WOULD do, have to do with him instituting a healthy vegetarian diet in his jails?
