One of many mistakes this incident makes apparent is the one of letting the federal government own land. I'm pretty sure never had that right initially. Now? Well, now they control large swathes of land that should belong to us the people, but instead belong to the overblown military and other federal agencies. It's yet another way they gain power over us.
The GOP controls the House because Americans voted for them. They won fair and square, and unlike the Democrats, they don't cheat to win elections. What that means is that the Republicans control one half of one third of the government. If Obama and the Democrats think they can take a "my way or the highway" approach when they don't have ALL the power, well it's time they learned what's what.

I don't think gerrymandering determines whether or not "Democratic politician A" wins or loses his political battle in his district. All Gerrymandering does, is relocate the political sites http://www.thefreedictionary.com/gerrymander At the end of the day, the popular vote was split, very slightly leaning Democratic. I think it's false and misleading to say that "Republicans wouldn't have the House if they didn't gerrymander". Would some House seats be Democratic otherwise? Perhaps. What, maybe 5-10? That brings the Democratic total to 205-210. The Republicans would still have 225 or 220 seats in that case.

Obama is the biggest tool acting as President this country has ever seen. That's what you get when you elect a community organizer. He is shutting down monuments and parks that he has no reason to close. As a matter of fact, he is spending more in dollars and resources completing these shutdowns than if he did nothing. And the greatest irony of all this, is that you presented nothing to prove this claim. Not a single rebuttal of my statement that Gerrymandering may have had some, but not *all* of the fault to do with Democratic losses in those key House Battles. Perhaps if you had better political representatives in those districts, you might not have lost them. Perhaps if you didn't put a gun to every American's head over Obamacare, the Liberals would be more popular. Which one's the terrorists? The ones who passes a bill without a single vote from the opposition, then forces every American to comply or else? Or the ones who use the power granted to them in the Constitution to say "no".
