WOW! Delaware get's it's first Obama Care enrollee. That's cause for celebration! That makes 51,001 in 16 days.....nationwide. Obama Care is collapsing under it's own weight. They need 7 million to enroll by March 2014, at this rate they may get 300,000 by the close of open enrollment, just a tad short of the 7 million to make Obama Care float. Captain Barry, first mate's Harry and Nana need to make sure they are on the bridge with the band playing as the S.S. Obama Care slips under the waves.

Oh my...you guys are still quoting weaklystandard?

    Republicans never learn.

Through the first week or two, there appears to be about 160,000 enrolled already in just the state exchanges. Fed exchanges won't report until next month so no doubt that's lowball estimate if one is to estimate national numbers.

    http://obamacaresignups.net/

Remember that the surge isn't expected to begin until December, as coverage won't begin until 2014. Since the federal exchanges had the most glitches, I'd expect a slow start. My own experience navigating the site: Week 1: servers overloaded (huge demand of course, insufficient hardware I suspect). Week 2, minor delays but can create an account. Week 3, no delays, no problems. Perhaps there are still glitches on the back-end. High demand for a service is also a good problem to have. Technical problems can get fixed eventually. Lack of demand is a more difficult problem.

Just think: if the Republicans hadn't shut down government, they could have made those major website glitches front page news. Now the window of opportunity is fading and they are trying to keep the story alive, or claim high premiums, or what not. Hard to do when the website is a click away. You're fighting a growing tide at this point.

    https://www.healthcare.gov/

But that's just a portal. You can also use established portals like eHealthInsurance, which has worked with the Obama Administration.

    http://www.ehealthinsurance.com/

They are showing most of the same plans. Not sure if the health care tax credit approval is as integrated with that site though.

Carry on, right-wingers. I've got better things to do than challenge the daily propaganda you parrot. For everyone else, always do your own research. Don't believe what you read/hear in the corporate media.

obamacaresignups.net? There's a real reliable website far more so than the weekly standard.

Even at 160,000 that's 300,000 a month at best or 1.5 million by the end of open enrollment. They need at least 7 million with policies to even float. face it Obama Care is exactly like Top Democrat and author of the ACA said a "Train Wreck". It's over before it started and the Democrats will pay a very heavy price come Nov 2014.

In Biden's home state no less. Maybe Joe can get folks a better interest rate on MBNA credit cards if they use it to sign up for Obama Care?

They never engage on the adverse selection aspect. Every hard case that will cost several multiples of his premium WILL enroll. This is what happened in NY. The price for the healthy went past the moon.

There there my friend.......relax. I know you wanted Obama Care to succeed more than anything in the world, but it's just not going to happen. I'm not trying to upset you but single payer will never happen now either. Not after Obama Care failed so badly. Who on Earth is going to listen to Democrat espouse how great government run health care is when they botched Obama Care so very badly. I do thank the Democrats for their abject incompetence at the implementation of Obama Care. Had they done it right it jolly well may have led to single payer. I salute them for doing what they do best, making a mess of what ever they try.
