Nothing quite communicates the wrath of a scorned lover like the middle finger. But in Bloomfield Hills, this middle finger is loud and proud - in the form of a near 12-foot high statue one man erected next door to his ex-wife.

Alan Markovitz recently moved into the home where the statue was erected, which happens to be next to the home where his ex-wife now lives with her new lover, whom she reportedly had an affair with while being married to Markovitz.

Markovitz tells Fox 2's Randy Wimbley his plan was to get even the ex-wife's new lover, and never meant for the matter be made public. However, it soon grabbed local attention when the ex-wife's daughter posted a picture of the statue on twitter.

The installation of the statue also included a spotlight to keep the message illuminated at all hours of the day.

Markovitz owns three strip clubs in Detroit recently wrote a book about his entrepreneurship, which is reportedly being turned into a TV reality series on Cinemax.

Wonder how this will end up playing out? Me personally I would have just moved on with my life, but it is funny to see this man not letting a cheating wife get the best of him. I bet 100 dollars that this ends up with someone in jail. Thoughts?

I didnt see anywhere that said she left him, only tidbit I picked up on was that she slept with the other man while married. Who is shallow again?

lmao this is great. Now she also has front court seats to watch him enjoy life without her and make mega bucks with a reality t show series. Oh and he will, because every man who got their heart ripped out by a woman is gonna be a fan, and this act is genius because its straight up free advertizing.

 

The guy owned titty bars, it's not a far stretch of the imagination to postulate that he was sleeping around as well.

Plus, even if he didn't cheat on his wife, to move in next door and erect a giant middle finger is just petty and childish.

 

It is clearly expensive lakeside property. She took his house and moved the guy she was (*)(*)(*)(*)ing in... I think it is hilarious. I love that he thought to setup lighting. I bet it's awesome at night.

Come to think of it, if this fella has a reality show in the making, this statue may be part of it? If so, that's a reality show I would watch, just for the laughs..... maybe. I don't like reality shows......

I'm all for freedom of speech but this is borderline harassment. He should move on with his life. Success is the best revenge.

Free speech doesn't protect smut or harassment. This could be either. I lived in the kind of burbs where he'd be fined for doing this. My neighbor was fined just for painting his garage door red.

Free Speech does protect "smut". If he is not violating a covenants/restriction then not much they can do about it. You might want to consider that a man known for his "entrepreneurship" who has a new "reality series" probably intends something other than harassment with this thing.

If there is one thing in the world I can't stand it is someone who cheats. I don't care what happened to make you cheat, divorce first.

She deserves every negative thing that will happen to her barring physical abuse.
