Supreme Court refuses to block Texas abortion restrictions

Hot off the Press:

When the initial appellate Judge struck this down, liberals everywhere, to include here in PF, were jumping for joy all over. But since then, the Law has been upheld by the Texas Supreme Court, and now SCOTUS has ruled. And the Texas Law will stand.

How about we get back to personal accountability libs ? Is that ever a thought for you ?

 

A BAN on abortions after 20 weeks.

Requiring abortion mills to adhere to the SAME ( not MORE STRINGENT, the SAME) medical/safety/sanitary standards as any other ambulatory clinic/surgical center.

Requiring that abortion be performed by MDs ONLY.

Requiring said MDs to have admitting priveledges at local emergency rooms, in case of serious complications.


How unreasonable....

By the way, where in the article did it say the Supreme Court ruled? It clearly says the lawsuit is still moving forward.

 

I remember the Roe v Wade debate. No one thought they were talking about abortions past the first trimester. Now it is defend abortions until birth.

Either way, once the pregnancy reaches the fetal stage a human life is more important - nothing's forcing any rape victim to keep the pregnancy - they can adopt it out. So if they choose not to pursue early term abortion then it's a moot point.
