I point out the lie. If you are threatening me then you can have a conversation with the mods. The point is saying atheists are sad people who are attacking Christmas in this thread is a lie. I am sorry you can't see that.

Glad to see you caught the 'satire' even w/o me adding a Smileycon..

No doubt about the time of His birth for MOST Christians.

But for the follower of the Words of Christ, every day shud be a celebration!!!

Just so happens it was merged with the Roman empire's celebrations...IMHO, Christianity being co-opted as a state religion was the worst thing that has happened to the purity of it since the start of the church!

I have some choice words for you is not a threat?

Give it up. Your premise was wrong and you won't let go. Sucks when you back the wrong horse. I don't care if people want to promote a pathetic idea that we will help the poor only if they listen to how we see God. That is sick in my mind and frankly ungodlike. But that is okay, you just can't use the school to do it.

Poor Karma.......victim status now. I am backing no horse. Whats your point, some god fairy in a school play will not be tolerated, A Christmas Tree displayed at city hall should not happen? Being so fragile while going through life's Journey is truly a burden Karma. I do not know if being so sterile and isolating oneself is healthy.

no problem, I thought you did intentionally, thank you and I see now how the error was made...

I believe all the answers are within, not in a book...
I believe we have more then one life to learn from...
I believe in a higher power, just not a person in the sky judging people...
I believe we will all eventually find enlightenment... no mater the path we take

Hey, I merely gave a Catholic take on the 'tree,' as being co-opted into the Christmas season celebration per the quote I posted.

You've already heard about Santa Claus & historical St. Nicholaus from where "Santa' or saint and Claus' short for cholaus' and of course St. Nick being another name from the historical man.

And so you're a 'throw the baby out with the bath water' type person, huh? Esp as YOU see it!

What do I want to throw out? It is not a religious symbol and if someone wants to call it a holiday tree or Christmas tree, who cares? This is about Christians demanding that their sense of the holiday be exclusive and yet respected by all. If you want to do something exclusively Christian then go to mass.

Guess I missed Christians wanted to 'exclusively' celebrate Christmas...are there some trying to hunt you down in the streets and shame you? Or is it paranoid self-persecution on YOUR part?!

And since I'm not Roman Catholic, I dont go to mass, but we do have a meal prayer on Christmas day to acknowledge the meaning of why we celebrate the holiday. Is that OK with you?

And you - you of course, being all for community and humanity - are more than willing to support such efforts.

As long as they don't include any acknowledgement of Christmas, amirite?

Any comment on the toy drive for Christmas thread?

When in doubt, find a boogyman to reaffirm your paranoid beliefs.

I saw this head honcho puke of the AHA interviewed by Meghan Kelly the other night, so pompous about stopping this toy drive for the needy children, out of their fear that these kids will become Christians. If that doesn't speak volumes about these particular atheists instabilities and irrational fear about Christianity, I don't know what does..... to take it out on underprivileged children, to deprive them of some happiness is truly sick..... yes, I'm sure these little kids will read the small pamphlet enclosed in the box of toys and will get all excited about becoming a Christian, but the school admin said their school never endorsed any particular religious views, but that wasn't good enuf for the cockroaches.

Meghan Kelly asked this guy what he & his pals were going to do to help the kids at Xmas time, since they succeeded in stopping the school's toy drive and he didn't have a clear answer. Some kind of babble and she ended the interview w/a look of sheer disgust on her face......

Not all atheists are sad people. The ones I know are really decent people who don't have a problem w/a friend b/c of their religious views and one atheist friend is quick to help others w/donations of gifts and food at Xmas time..... actually I have more respect and trust in her than I do some church going "Christians" I know.... better known as hypocrites.

No, what's sad is people like you who have to pump up your ego by claiming you collected more toys than someone you don't even KNOW. It's also damn sad that you people are so unstable, so irrational w/fear that needy CHILDREN will be converted to Christianity if they receive toys at Xmas time......

It's the KIDS you are victimizing w/your stupid fear of a religion.....

There's nothing more pathetic than an atheist celebrating Christmas. It must be sad being left out in the cold seeing so many people experiencing such wonderful spiritual warmth and growth. Like a lost puppy out on a rainy day.

    Oh wait.....was that Militant?

Or was it simply someone who happens to be an Atheist reacting to a very unpleasant individual?

The "sad" statement was more to do with the atheist pissing on anything they touch as of late when it makes the news. Lacks respect in which they themselves seek. Atheist will not be successful in ridding the world of religion or faith, they demand society hide it from public view but in the next thread I see some atheist members supporting diversity?

Makes no sense to me why people go out of the way to (*)(*)(*)(*) on others when it comes to the subject. School plays, Public Christmas trees, Nativity scenes, Toy drives are a part of this society and will continue. I enjoy seeing smiling faces, it is a good time of the year to help others and we should.

I missed the interview....he sounds like loser.

His type of atheism are definitely losers - they don't care about anyone else and their needs - not even the children. It's only about them and their agenda. This puke and his pals killed a gesture of human kindness b/c they were so scared that the kids....KIDS! - would want to be Christians.... unbelievable. Yeah, I'm sure 2-3-4 yr old toddlers fully understand the concept of religion and would be anxious to become a part of it.....

I don't understand how these cold-blooded bastards can sleep at night, but I bet they sleep like drunks, full of warm fuzzy wuzzy feelings after they killed off a toy drive for the needy kids.....

The Salvation Army Xmas Center is a big help, but I have mixed feelings about that place, questioning their honesty after I had donated something to them at Xmas time..... but myself and my family still donate gifts & food at Xmas to help them out.

Love the Sally (Salvation Army) and have donated funds and items. The local work they do could not be replaced. People who suck come in many flavors and hide behind many things.

Me also. Yeah, you know that the drivers have 1st pick of the items you donate, why it's good to call in and give the items so there is some accountability when they give you a receipt. But in Tucson they have refurbished motels made into housing for unwed mothers/mothers with babies, etc. and do good work in general.

lol...Have you looked at Sally's financials? The dollar going in the front door vs what is going out the back? This is why I love Sally. Seems most drivers have the pick :)
