Easy. When has a liberal ever made the right choice without being forced to? The answer is......they don't.

I was listening live on Sirius in my car when he said it. I was so confused, and with no DVR had to finish my work day wondering.

Lol wow is all I can say.

Glad he resigned, MSNBC did the right thing for their clientele and themselves. Can't have that guy on board with a past action like that....

I can't agree more and I expound on this very issue in one of my columns at www.politiccenter.com, titled the Cold Civil War. Bottomline...free and opened debate absence the vulgar hate speech is the principle by which we elect are leaders enabling them to derive their just powers from the consent of the governed. Unfortunately the Left no longer practices this fundamental doctrine because they know it would be to their demise if perpetuated. It is very rare to hear anyone from the Left own up to being wrong on any issue even when the subject or event has concluded and factual data or analysis can be easily used to substantiate them being wrong...I'm just glad Martin Bashir has been called out on it!

I'm gonna go ahead and save some of these quotes the next time the Right starts crying that "Political Correctness" is attacking them.

Have fun . . . and good luck with that because you would be surprised how far one can take things and yet still stop far short of advocating defecating or urinating in a woman's mouth. Fancy that!

And others will be able to point out your non concern for a left winger doing this when you show concern of a right winger.

Those are not government officials, community leaders, or pundits or journalists. Those are just posters commenting on an issue. You do know that Bashir by his position represented MSNBC, yes?

The problem is not what Bashir said, but rather he works for a media outlet and is of a political ideology that condemns the same behavior he engaged in.

The story to me was never what bashir said but what he said came from a leftist.

And Fox News shut the comments section down... wonder why? Maybe because they didn't want to be the GOP endorsing news outlet that had comments more appropriate for Stormfront.

Yes, that is possible; and in that case Fox News was more responsible than was MSNBC which refused to fire Bashir.

That's the funny part. He's a brit… Americans inherited slavery, the Brits created the system.….

Yeah....sums up failure on your part. I didn't see anything remotely as vulgar and repulsive as former MSNBC golem Martin Bashir's scripted well thought out comments.
And more importantly, every comment you provided (via your link) is anonymous and uncited. Anyone could be making them...including trolls
saying the most horrible things in order to smear the right.

There is no doubt who made the scatologically scurrilous comments Martin Bashir decided to utter, after much thought. And that makes all the difference...and it makes your point null and void.

Absolutely! And in addition Fox News does not broadcast or necessarily endorse comments made by anonymous trolls (i.e. they shut down the comments option).
And MSNBC? They gave Bashir his own cable tv platform (and paid him well, no doubt) to make his pathetic views known and public.

People ignorantly trying to smear Fox just keep inadvertently highlighting how much more responsible and sensible Fox is than a rat's nest like MSNBC!

Really? Did you read those comments that guy got screen captures of? Killing people was mentioned. The "tanker trucks of pig blood for mosques" isn't exactly friendly. Is it the same as a fox anchor saying what Bashir said, no but the point of Fox News stopping the comments section is telling. Last I checked I could comment on MSNBC and CNN, the major competitors to Fox. Also lets face it, if CNN or MSNBC shut off comments GOPers/Conservatives would be screaming how free speech was being trampled.

And neither is the thought of defecating in the mouth of someone you happen to disagree with politically. You must think I'm defending every comment made by Fox viewers (OR by trolls, trying to smear the right). I'm not.

I just see the significant difference between unsolicited unvetted comments made by anonymous people vs. a highly paid and publicized employee/spokesman like Bashir. Don't you?

Yes. It is. It shows a level of responsibility that MSNBC doesn't seem to have as only MSNBC chooses to put a man that makes comments like this
on their payroll and give him a forum from which to spread his filth (until very recently when Bashir chose to leave).

Well I don't care to go investigate the level of civility
exhibited by viewers of MSNBC in their comments but judging by the people they put on the air I am very certain it cannot be worse than Fox!

    Lets cut the crap.

Fox News and MSNBC are both equally disgusting.

Let's just excuse Sarah Palin's comments, by the way.

"This isn't racist! This isn't racist! Don't try it! It is like slavery!"

They absolutely are. The fact that they call themselves "news" is a joke. They bring up any story that pushes their side and beat it into eternity. Very little news happens on either.

Your comment is as senseless as your signature.
To think that the term "slave" or "slavery" ONLY has a racial context is inexcusably ignorant and shows a state of mind completely controlled by
    modern Marxist dialectic.

Did I say slavery ONLY has a racial context? Read your history books.

Slavery has always been for economic reasons that were JUSTIFIED by using RACE, a purely SOCIAL context, to JUSTIFY enslaving another human being as a piece of property.

Why are you so defensive? Why is the truth met with Marxist comments?

Because slavery is an institution that's thousands of years old and
race is only a relatively recent component. Think of Rome and the Slavs (where the word slaves comes from) as an example where race was a complete non factor, for one thing.

And for another race is NOT a social construct purely as there is the whole biology of racial components to deal with and think about. But Marxists
like to pretend that race is all about a social construct (not that you are Marxist perhaps...you may just like to spout Marxist theory without realizing it).

She compared paying taxes for the government debt to slavery, which is offensive in its own right.

Though him asking her to become a slave and victimized by that evil slave master was wrong and it was appropriate for him to resign.
