Has any republican president ever been voted liar of the year?

IMO this is an "honor" that only Obama has achieved among all the presidents. How ever I must admit it is well deservied. As egotistical as Obama is, wanting to be first at everything, here is another first for him.

Politifact I think. After they spent a few "fact finding" articles saying people could keep their health care plans. But there was an election to win and the far left editorial staff runs that portion of the paper too.

Not real familiar with this; who votes on the title? And how many years has this title been given out? Surely not "all the presidents" have been around long enough to be up for the 'award,' so the comparison to "all the presidents" is not relevant. A little more info would be appreciated. I've read that Politifact has named Obama's health care promise "the lie of the year;" is that related in any way?

Edited to add: I see Politifact has only been naming the "lie of the year" since 2009, and of course no one else but Obama has been president during that time.

Facts mean little to the right but here is the thing:
    http://www.newscorpse.com/ncWP/?p=11069

Apparently they only like it when they agree.

Now we recall last year when it was Presidential candidate Mitt Romney who won the award.

But it is lie of the year not liar of the year. And you have to ask if this was a lie or a failed prediction. I think it was not truthful because in fact many people had non-insurance insurance and of course that doesn't meet the minimum of the law. But I wonder why last week Politifact was always wrong and this week they are right on. hmmmmmmmm

The plain fact is Obama is entitled to the award since he is without a doubt the president that presents an almost continuous string of lies.

Dodge pickups = Truck of the year------------------Obama liar of the year. Same thing!!!!! Live with it.

    Tec

Actually I am not wrong. And it was not me that named Obama as liar of the year.

Did he or did he not say-----------------if you like your healthcare you can keep it-----------------and did he or did he not say if you like your doctor you can keep him---------------and did he or did he not say the attack on Benghazi was due to some video that no one has seen--------------and did he or did he not say that he knew nothing about all the other scandals his admin has had?????????????????

Apparently, if the title is connected to Politifact, it's impossible for you to be wrong - since Obama is the only person to hold the presidency since the 'award' has been given out. It certainly is misleading, however, at best.

I'm guessing Bush's statements about WMD in Iraq would have won him the 'prize' had it been around back in the day.

I have no desire to Champion Obama, as I do not particularly care for the man. I simply answered your question. and pointed out that you are incorrect. Lie of the year does not equate to liar of the year.

I also saw the lie of the year award he was given by Politifact....and it was quite a good call, but this award does not claim he is the biggest liar of the year.
Others may very well have him beat in this.
