Glen Beck is a caricature. He's an actor. He represents what the corporate oligarchy WANTS the populace to emulate as one "side" of the "oppositions".

I'm not trying to change the conversation, I'm trying to enlighten you to the lies that are being perpetrated against us. People that call themselves "conservative" and support the Republican party are dupes. So are people that call themselves "liberal" and support the Democrats. It's a shell game. Both "sides" march to the same drum major. They all have their strings pulled by the same puppet master. The idea that the parties oppose each other is a lie further orchestrated by the media presentation of the false dichotomy of liberal vs. conservative. Liberal and conservative are relative terms that don't mean anything without the context of a subject that they are describing.

People don't need to be excused for having an opinion about Richard Sherman's outburst after the game on Sunday any more than Sherman needs to be excused for his outburst. Savvy?

    code words don't exist?

Heh, watch Reagan's "states rights" speech and tell me code words don't exist.

I imagine conservatives told the same thing to blacks back in the days of Jim Crow

    From CBSsports.com

The quote helps to capture the point. Sherman was calling out another player and acting as if he had been disrespected. His over reaction was about trash talking with Crabtree not merely expressing emotion over winning the game.

Harmless, but certainly understandably abrasive to some, hence the response.

Sherman is an excellent corner back and in general seems like an ok person, but it's not unreasonable for people to respond negatively to his outburst. That he and others want to make about race makes matters worse. That's MY opinion on the situation.

Imagine to your heart's content. As of now it remains a semi-free nation . . . despite the Left's best efforts. So enjoy while you still can! :nana:

Being free to do what's allowed is not "semi-free". We live in a world run by tyrants behind armies. Don't kid yourself otherwise.

I don't, not really; and I bet that I'm more cynical about this stuff and the future of our nation than you are. I make jokes because otherwise I would be getting ANGRY . . . and it's not healthy to be angry all the damn time.

    I agree with you.

Seems many here think he was just doing what is expected from a black athlete.

    I find that prejudiced, myself.

I'm not looking to get into a pissing match over who is more cynical. Realistic is really probably a more apt adjective to describe my position than cynical anyway. Alas, I suspect we are closer in our positions to each other than either is to one who is less cynical or realistic about the nature of the ruling class.

Maybe so, but still, you can't blame a dog for being a dog. What Sherman did was typical.

It is 100% true. You never see political articles or cartoons depicting white welfare queens. It is always some black inner city woman with tatooes. Feel free to prove me wrong and I will retract my statement.

I don't know that it is only used for Blacks, but lets pretend for a minute that it is. Once we start calling it the "T-Word" like a bunch of kindergarteners....people would use something else shortly thereafter.
You can't make any words off limits no matter how distasteful they may be should be the takeaway here.

Why would I want you to retract that statement?
I predicted it and within 3 minutes, there it was ;)

You aren't arguing with me, you're proving me correct.

Race had NOTHING to do with reactions to Richard Sherman's rant, right twitter?

Clearly these tweeters were all just leftists overreacting...

Race is never a problem in this country...

White thugs are also called thugs. But since the vast majority of thugs, are black, than its oft used is ACCURATE.

The FB! tracks 33 different kinds of crime. [Google Table 43] Blacks are less than 13% of the population of the USA. But in 31 or the 33 crimes the percentage committed by blacks exceeds their percentage of the population.
For instance, HOMICIDES, blacks are 12.7% of the US population but committ 49.2% of the total homicides. 55% of the robberies.
Whites, Hispanics, Asians, exceed their percentage of the population in ZERO of the 33 categories. Blacks 31 or 33, ALL other 0 of 33. That is thuggery.

Liberals and blacks love to scream RACIST. And if no one uses the N-word, then they INVENT a new racist word.

But the real, worst label that anyone can be condemned with is,,,,,,,LIBERAL!

Just as how you are proving me correct. Show conservative political propaganda that uses white welfare queens. They exist just as often as black welfare queens. You just won't see a white welfare queen being publicized.

    Don't be naive.

yes racism is a problem but there is two sides of that coin either you are ignorant about or willfully ignoring it
The biggest racist are not white. blacks are and they even admit as much

"Among black Americans, 31% think most blacks are racist, while 24% consider most whites racist and 15% view most Hispanics that way."

Who is personally racist is irrelevant.

The criminal justice system obviously punishes blacks disproportionately.

Whites also own most of the businesses. A black racist will have a tough time in a country that is only 13% black. A white racist can surround himself and isolate with whites very easily. Hell, society praises it.

your zero for two that study has been debunked because the study didn't take into consideration repeat offenders when the study said blacks where incarcerated more often and received harsher sentences then whites committing the same crime

That would be the Black community of young athletics that he is trying to help. Being a little more rational and less aggressive would set a better example for the high school Black kids that are most likely to emulate his actions.

Bieber is a liberal celebrity so he gets a pass from the MSM, who happens to be the ones labeling Sherman as a thug. I haven't heard Fox News or Rush calling Sherman a thug of calling for him to be punished.

As for white thugs; let's label the ARYAN NATIONS as thugs. The Mafia. A lot of the white police. Hell's Angels. Banditos.

Nope, that is the problem that YOU (and others in this thread) are perpetuating.

Being "aggressive" or "assertive" on your field of play is not a problem, nor is it illegal or threatening to anyone else. Furthermore, only black men face this scrutiny. If Sherman was white you wouldn't say "Sherman needs to not act so aggressive to help out his white community." There is a double standard and you know it.
