If a male politician found a sugar mommy to pay his way through school, and to accept and raise his children as her own without him, he wouldn't dare make heroic single daddy-hood the centerpiece of his identity and campaign. If he tried, the media would slaughter him. If he were a Republican, anyway.

Liberals think people are too flawed to make it in life without paternalistic restraints and controls. Conservatives think people are too flawed to be trusted with paternalistic restraints and controls over other people.

Nixon wanted to use the IRS as a weapon, and failed. For that, he is reviled. Obama is successfully using every federal agency that exists as a weapon. For that, his critics are called racists.

So, reports in Colorado are, illegal weed on the street is cheaper than legal weed in the state-regulated dispensaries. If politicians can make a legal product more expensive than the banned black market product, that's a pretty good metaphor for what government does to enterprise and human exchange.

Dreams and vision mean nothing. Chutzpah and action change the world.

We are in a contest between those who believe life will be better if government controls more of our actions, and those who believe life will be better if government controls less. The less side won in 1776. But the Empire is striking back. Hard.

The PBS News Hour did a breathless story about income inequality in Orange County, California. All the starving kids it featured look obese. We better sign our life over to big government to save those starving fatties.

He didn't create jobs. He didn't end the surveillance police state. He didn't keep his promise about the health insurance I liked. He didn't expand the ranks of covered Americans. He didn't respect my constitutional rights under the 2nd Amendment, 1st, 4th, 5th, and probably others. He didn't restore America's respect in the world. He didn't repair our international alliances.

And he sure as hell didn't vindicate the Oslo worshippers who gave him the grand, global, wet kiss.

However, the Progressive Left will accept a woman claiming a disabled man hadn't walked a mile in her shoes. Then there's in inept president who faults everything and everyone for his incompetencies.

If you live in the greatest country in the world why were people going bankrupt to pay for their medical bills?

Why were your vets going homeless because they couldn't afford the medications that they needed?

Why are most of your states still teaching abstinence?

Why do half of your states keep dead women alive just because they were pregnant?

Maybe it is a right and left thing. Maybe liberals are just smarter than conservatives.

Maybe liberals are just better human beings.

If that were true, people would become more liberal as they age. The opposite is true.

That's the older generations who still go to church. The younger generations won't be.

I kind of doubt that. Church pop is down across much of the US.

Gallup says otherwise. But maybe your right. Either way,our Church is big, packed, and there are tons of families with kids.

Kids who grow up in religion are the ones most likely to shun it when they have their own family.

not all churches are fairing as well, many churches have turned to the government to bail them out on the tax payers dime

    http://rationalrevolution.net/articles/history_of_the_separation_of_chu.htm

"When a religion is good, I conceive it will support itself; and when it does not support itself, and God does not take care to support it so that its professors are obliged to call for help of the civil power, 'tis a sign, I apprehend, of its being a bad one.
    - Benjamin Franklin: in letter to Richard Price, October 9, 1780"

Proof? That would mean that lots of people who grew up with no religion in their life are turning to religion later on. I don't see it.

I think that's more a feminist, liberal issue.

ie: this is proof that feminism is a total hypocrisy and sham.

Depending on the poll, Abbott leads her from 6% to 15%. The recent revelations regarding her embellished life story along with her supporters mocking Abbott and her campaigns subtle swipe at Abbotts handicap will not resonate well with moderate Texans.

A liberal commentator said the other day that everything must go smoothly for Davis to gain the governorship. Things are not going smoothly for her.

That doesn't prove that people get more conservative as they get older. Dumbass

Grow up with the name calling.

Do you look at people shifting from supporting liberal candidates to conservative candidates as they get older, and conclude that they are becoming more liberal?

Not really. Most of the adults I go to church with were raised going to church. I see a lot of people who backslid from church in their 20s, only to come back when they had their own family.

Please point out examples of churches that had government bailouts. A few news articles would be sufficient.
