Abortions are a form of population control. Abortions have a good effect on the overall well being of our world. They do however cause physical and psychological problems on the women but it is the price to pay to keep our resources from being stretched out.

The result of no women getting abortions? Tens of millions and millions more people, stretching our resources to the max. And in that dystopian universe You'd be wishing for abortions.

So while you might be against it in this world you should see it as an necessary evil.

    Your topic is broken.

Humanity depends upon breeding, not self imposed annihilation.

Population of man will always be pruned to an appropriate level, whether it be by starvation, warfare, disease, or culling of 'undesirables'.

Elective abortion really has quite little to do with population control. More so to deal with sparing the would be mother discomfort and potential physical distress, potential social stigma, and inconvenience.

I agree with some of your comment but not all.

Abortion has little to nothing to do with population control on that I agree

Your last sentence I cannot agree with .. the reasons you seem to feel are not reason enough may not be the case for those actually involved in making the decision.

Naturally, every case is individual with its own unique situation. Which is why the government should get out of the practice altogether. Standard procedures of a government at state and federal level allow for very little flexibility in the matter. This should be in the hands of the people. Just like marijuana usage.

I would take it one step further, it should be in the hands of the individual to make the decision as to whether they choose to remain pregnant and give birth or not.
