Since the Constitution means whatever the unelected demigods in black robes say it means they are always following the Constitution even when they aren't.

Translation: "I am against their decision and my Constitution is totally different than the one thathas been around for 200 plus years, and if I dont agree with the judge they are liberal activist regardless of who appointed them."

Please spare me with the unelected craqp. Thneir is a reason why they are not elected so people like you do not have that type of power to act as judge and jury on things you dont like.

    They are unelected.

They stay in power for life and answer to no one.

Every dictator should have it so good.

Legalizing homosexuality and subsequently gay marriage is the work of a handful of lawyers overruling the will of the people.

It represents the opinion of at best .000001% of the citizens of Kentucky and America.

Who cares about "the will of the people in this matter? You do not have a say what don't you understand?

Oh and the "will of the people" supports gay marriage by a majority. But that is irrelevant.

We are a Constituitonal Republic bottom line we elect officials. The Constituion is to protect rightsof the idividual period. This is not a document that has a basis in majority rule if that was the case. Slavery would not have been abolished as you know a majority in the southrn states had no problem with slavery. This is the kind of mab rule you want.

So let me let you in on something a majority of Americans inherantly already know. Being an American is advanced ciizenship. We have certian rights that can, will, and do evolve over time. The Constitution is a living breathing document unlike the bible that never changes. This was our founding fathers intent, that why it can and has been amaneded. The founding father knew that a monarchy would not work, they also knew mob rule would not work. That is why there is checks and balances.

Now if you have a problem with that may i suggest you go form your own country and you can have mob rule and live with the small circle of friends that believe in your outdated bigoted views because wqhen it boils down to it that is exactly what it is. Equal treatment under the law is what this is about. You and your ilk have failed at every turn trying to pin this on many different aspects, the courts see you are grasping at straws and they are rulinging with in the confines of the Constitution.

Baisccally what you want is judges you appoint that will do your bidding and nothing more. Will of the people has nothing to do with this at all

It would stand to reason that those would advocate leaving the union over small matters like this are certainly in the minority. For them it's just a reaction of frustration because of their inability to convince others of their viewpoints and positions. I would never worry about any state leaving the union over something like this.

Why do you think you are in charge?
The only person who's fallibility you should worry about is yourself.

    Federal jurists don't serve terms.

Do yourself a favor and read the US Constitution.

Souter was in no way liberal.

Then again, when you sit on the far right fringe, pretty much everything is liberal from that perspective.

Yet they are selected, vetted and approved by those who are elected.

Pick a country of your choosing and I'll pay for your airfare.

Wrong. Another state has been forced to allow gay marriage. I hope the feds keep forcing their will on the people.....that is how backlash happens.

Incorrect. They've already agreed to recognize and accept them when they joined the Union.

Five years from now, people will come to their senses and realize that what the courts did was the right thing to do and legally proper.

Ths simple fact is nothing is gonna happen the right doesnt have any guts to do anythingperiod. Just more bellyaching and blaming Obama who had nothing to do with it.

You can leave this country anytime I hear Nigeria agrees with yoru views just remember good luck getting the superbowl and internet when you leave.

Years from now the conservatives will be trying to take all the credit for gay rights, even though they are the ones fighting against it now. Just like they do when they take the credit for putting an end to slavery and Jim Crow laws, which we all know is complete bull crap.

    - - - Updated - - -

We've been hearing about this conservative "backlash" for years.

My response to them always is " You feeling froggy? Then Jump".

Can you answer the question? Why is it gay marriage? If a gay person does something, is it automatically just called gay?

    Gay Driving?
    Gay Sky diving?
    Gay smoking?

Hahaha! Such hate spewing from your post that your thoughts run together.

Nah, I will hang around and watch as this plays out. All the liberals are doing now is rallying the conservative base. While the liberals are trying to get a small amount of gay votes they are motivating the large religious majority to vote this November. This is pure nincompoopery! LOL!
