Apparently, the unionized and hyper-politicized K-12 educational system has nothing better to do than suppress civil rights. http://m.nationalreview.com/corner/...udent-suspended-wearing-nra-shirt-alec-torres quote: A 16-year-old sophomore at Grand Island High School in New York was suspended for wearing an NRA t-shirt promoting the Second Amendment Taxcutter notes: At least the edu-fascists in WV had enough sense to drop this hot potato. Didnt we just get a report that 80% NY high school grads cant read? Maybe if their teachers spent more time teaching and less time in political indoctrination maybe the damned kid s could learn to read. The people of the town need to ask: How much of your budget do we need to cut to assure us this atrocity will not happen again?
Same thing as in WV. Do what the teacher instructs, file a suit when you get home. Don't mouth off to the teacher while at school.
I wouldn't restrict that to teachers. But I don't have a lot of respect for a kid who disrespects a teacher over a political issue. The classroom is not the place for that. Take it to the courts. Same goes for people who act stupid with police officers.
It is my understand that many schools ban the wearing of any clothing supporting products or organizations, if that is the case here then you are whining about nothing, if there is no rule then you are correct to complain.
So its OK a kid wears a T-shirt that says "Praise Satan and live in His Name", since freedom of religion is in the Constitution, too? Or maybe schools can have a few rules to allow students to concentrate on studying, not proselytizing?
If it was an Obama O logo shirt it would have been fine and the nasty Lefties here would all approve as well.
No you are just making things up. The real headline was 80% of high school graduates could not read at a level to accommodate Community college education needs
Taxcutter says: In short, the students and schools failed to accomplish the basic mission of K-12 education.
Sure why not. It's just a tee shirt. Wouldn't bother me what someone else wore on their tee shirt as long as I can wear mine.
