    Putin did say that he would respond to the latest sanctions, and that Washington will feel it. This might be the response. Bravo Obama, you did it again. :applause:

    China and Russia have been strengthening ties for over a decade now. In light of events lately, these ties cannot be overlooked.

    Also from the OP's link:
    ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
    BEIJING, April 15 (Xinhua) -- Chinese Foreign Minister Wang Yi and his Russian counterpart Sergei Lavrov held talks on Tuesday, vowing to enhance bilateral ties.
    The China-Russia comprehensive strategic partnership is of great meaning and strategic significance, Wang said.
    "As the international situation gets more and more complicated, our two countries should maintain frequent exchanges," Wang said.
    China is ready to continue mutual support and strategic collaboration with Russia, the minister said, adding that better bilateral ties will benefit peace, security and stability of the world and the region.
    Lavrov vowed joint efforts with China to fulfill goals and tasks set by both presidents, urging continued close communication, cooperation and mutual safeguarding of international order.
    The two sides agreed to fully prepare for President Putin's state visit to China and his attendance at the Summit of the Conference on Interaction and Confidence Building Measures in Asia (CICA) in Shanghai next month.
    The ministers vowed to ensure the success of Putin's trip, push forward the establishment of a new Asian security concept in CICA and promote major bilateral programs.
    The two countries had agreed they would hold joint celebrations in 2015 for the 70th anniversary of the end of World War II and Chinese people's victory against Japanese aggression, Wang said.
    The two sides also exchanged views on Ukraine, the Korean peninsula and BRICS cooperation.
    This is a natural development. A good political leader should be able to see far and deep. I am sorry, but our Obama is a poor leader, when it comes to foreign politics. He is entirely in cold war mentality inherited fro G. W. Bush
    Actually, if we look at traditional international politics, Obama is doing a somewhat better than average job. So I think your comment really implies that the United States should improve its foreign policy in some major outside the box ways, which is true. The improvements would have to be ones that carried over into the future and helped all future American presidents do a better job.
    You might try to come up with some new ideas on how to do that.
    You would probably be shy about brainstorming in public, but you could brainstorm in private and only post the best new ideas you come up with.
    When one brainstorms, one asks a question, and then as rapidly as possible, a little like free association, one thinks of as many ideas as one can. You might have to do this with a tape recorder because stopping to write down ideas would reduce the flow. It is important not to consider quality at this stage. One should try to come up with just any possible idea, even ones which are silly or which might be wrong. The idea is to get a strong flow of ideas going, both good and bad ideas.
    Then, afterwards, one goes to the list of ideas and begins evaluating them.
    For each idea in the list which looks like a bad idea, you would ask yourself if there is any way the idea could be changed into a good idea. If not, you would drop that idea from your list.
    For each good idea, you would ask if it could be changed in any way that could improve it. Whether or not you can think of an improvement, you keep the good idea on the list. Once you have a list of only good ideas, you then decide which one your think is best, or which several you think are best.
    Again, you don't evaluate until after the brainstorming session. The goal during the brainstorming session is to get a strong flow of ideas going, both good and bad.
    I say Russia and China are putting on a brave face. But, I'm sure it's all for show.
    I've come to the conclusion that they hate each other's guts and this has played out in the past with border tensions between Russia and China.
    Alliances are often formed from nations that really don't like each other very much. For example, Nazi Germany allied with Japan. In world war two, America was allied with the USSR. And so forth.
    In ideal world, EU and USA should accept Russia as a friend, expand trade and cooperation primarily on the planet Earth, not in space. Instead, Russia is treated like superpower, which should be weakened, defeated and divided among victors. This is mission impossible. Russia has nukes. Besides, there are other big countries, which grow economically and politically. In international politics, Obama is shy and uncreative. He is always looking back at conservatives and this is how he will never be a great president like those displayed in a form of art on Rushmore Mount in South Dakota.
    It seems so now and this is what Obama probably believes. However, this is dangerous development. Big changes start from small ones.
    Excellent comparison. This is true. Consequences were hard to overestimate. I doubt if we can afford to repeat something like those.
    International politics is a chess game writ large. China and Russia both see the 65th square. The US doesn't. It's playing slaughter chess out of desperation, knowing it has lost but trying to delay the inevitable.
    Aircraft carrier steam propulsion boilers were designed and built in Kiev. They have proven to be unreliable for India and most likely China. I'm guessing Kiev is enjoying the joke on Russia and China.
