Close to one thousand Muslim women covered from head to foot took to the streets of Tehran Friday, demanding more strict enforcement of the Islamic dressing code.
"In some parts of the city we can see complete violation of the obligation to wear a veil and cover the body," said Imam Kazem Seddiqui at the University of Tehran just before the demonstrations.
Meanwhile, Iranian women posted pictures of themselves without head coverings or veils in a Facebook campaign that has gained more than 200 thousand followers
Participants in the campaign risk more than just condemnation from Friday's conservative protesters however, as Iranian law names the punishment for not wearing the traditional veil headdress as 70 lashes and two months of prison.
An Iranian reporter living in exile in Britain began the campaign on the third of May meaning that the photos have reached hundreds of thousands in just over two weeks.

Prostesters insisting on greater dress code enforcement contrast growing online campaign of women without veils.
    Who do you support ?
Muslim black dresses or modern beautiful colorful dresses ?

I support the idea that every woman should wear what the hell she wants to wear.

Unfortunately I haven't been to London yet although I'd love to.
I don't particularly enjoy the sight of women that are dressed like Batman either (yes we have them, too), but forcing them to wear veils and prohibiting them from doing so is equally respectless.
I'm not implying you'd want to do such a thing, of course.

So you favor enforcement of a dress code? Like those Iranian women do?

Woman are not obliged to dress with the burkha etc. They are obliged to be modest though.

Sometimes when my hair is a mess and I can't be bothered with make-up and I can't find anything to wear I wouldn't mind wearing one of those things too.

    Just kidding.
