Here we go with the hysteria and political agendas. The tragic murders in Santa Barbara by Elliot Rodger has already taken on political tones. I have heard it was an attack on females but more males were killed than females. I have heard we need tighter gun laws, but some victims were killed by a knife and Rodger also used his BMW as a battering ram against some people. Some want the cops to do a better job screening kooks, but they are the first to complain about civil rights or cop brutality. I say it's a deranged individual who was fitting into our societal umbrella, but then he flipped. There is no solution to stop these senseless killings except for those who are armed who can protect themselves and stop the murderer.
One reason why I don't like the news, is how they hype up a tragedy in order to get ratings and sell papers. I find this sort of thing deplorable.
That's why News shouldn't be a for profit business. that's why some bland, unentertaining, ugly news anchor should just read the news in a monotone with no advertising or spin on it.
How about knives? Several of the victims were stabbed to death. Big surprise you aren't concerned about those.
Strange that the underlined part is the only conclusion you can reach based upon the bolded part. I see a world in between those two worth exploring.
Not really. Knives aren't nearly as deadly. This tragedy is an example: the guy mowed down people with his gun while driving.
He killed just as many with a knife as he did with a gun. This tragedy is an example. You're just using this story to further the left's anti-gun position. It's transparent.
If my dad was a movie director in Hollywood when I was growing up I would have a chick count that would rival a rock star.
you would think so but that he didn't would suggest he some serious social issues that told women "OMG run"...
when they have obvious mental health issues should be a clear red flag, dont give this guy a gun....he may still kill someone but he wont be able to do it on the same scale...

That's why he went nuts. He knew that jotting down is qualifications line by line, he should have been a chick magnet, and he couldn't accept the rejection. I saw the video he made and he seems like he was extremely self aware of why he was so angry. He had every advantage and still couldn't get a girl to like him.
fbi stats say 68% of homicides are by gun, knives account for 13%.... Of all the mass killings in the last decade how many of those gunshot victims would be alive had the perpetrator only had a knife....knives are impossible to control, guns are controllable...
LOL! Come on up here to Chicago genius. Tell us how gin control has worked! LOL! Here's a dose of reality for you regarding knives and other forms of homicide.............. http://hotair.com/greenroom/archive...-parts-and-blunt-objects-than-rifles-in-2011/ PolitiFact: Yes, more people murdered with knives, body parts and blunt objects than rifles in 2011 POSTED AT 3:41 PM ON JANUARY 18, 2013 BY KATIE PAVLICH This infographic is floating around Facebook. Photobucket And according to PolitiFact (and the FBI) its true. Our ruling The post uses data selectively, ignoring the significant role of handguns in gun violence. But the statistics it mentions are solid. FBI data backs up the Facebook posts claim that in 2011, more people were murdered with knives, hands or feet or clubs and hammers than with any type of rifle. We rate the statement True. You can read the whole assessment here. http://www.politifact.com/truth-o-m...ok-post-says-more-people-were-murdered-knive/
Turn off the boob tube and when ratings fall the advertisers will bail. - - - Updated - - - Yeah, we could make it against the law.
You can "see" and you can "explore" until the seas dry up but it won't stop what happened. At least my plan, which is common sense rather than a dream, could stop the criminal. An armed citizen stops a crime in our society all the time but the liberal media won't report it. The story don't fit their agenda.
How about you digest what I posted regarding your misguided dismissal of knives as a means of homicide? Comprehend that. I don't need an education from a gun grabber when I have lost a family member to beating death and a friend to a lunatic with a butcher knife. Had they have been armed with that 'evil' gun, they may have lived. Now is that relevant to this thread?
