There is no need for families to starve in Britain, unless they want to keep under the radar because they are here illegally. If they are here legally they can claim benefits and provided they spend money wisely (many don't) then they would at least be able to manage and of course they can be referred to food banks if they are struggling. If they are hit with the bedroom subsidy cut there are incentives to move if they are underoccupying or they can rent a room out to a lodger. And the UK government is only rectifying the mess of previous governments.

 

I think you may be right. Oh, sure, the central bankers can go on "printing" money until the printing presses melt into a puddle of metal on the floor, but the real issue is something we began to see coming back in the 1960's -- an exploding world population that would surely destabilize the world's ruling elite classes. I cannot possibly give you a better view into the dark future we are slipping into than the one provided by George Orwell in his absolute masterpiece, "1984". When I first read this little book, the world has less than half the population it does today, and I'm convinced that the real agenda, if there is one, is first and foremost -- make the proletarian masses STOP BREEDING! And, no, they don't do it by governmental decree. No. They make it unbearably horrible to live in the kind of unending poverty that one almost certainly goes into if he/she/they/whatever decide to dare to have CHILDREN!

I saw this coming a LONG time ago, and I followed it carefully, even during a wonderful, prosperous decade like the 1980's, and most of the 1990's. Consider that, as it is, in the U. S., nearly half the population is on one kind of welfare-suck or another. How much a larger percentage of that population is in poverty precisely because they have had children? And as hateful and horrible as this situation is, the ultra-rich, who have staffs of tax attorneys and tax accountants to make sure they pay little or no income taxes, often tell you, "It's all these poor bastards who are ruining everything with their numbers. If you make it too easy for them to breed and live on welfare, they'll overrun and destroy everything, like thousands of rats turned loose in a grocery store!" I have heard comments almost word-for-word like that from people who never worked a day in their lives....

No matter how you feel about the issue, one thing is true -- the Earth is not getting any bigger, and the amount of clean air and clean water, along with the amount of natural resources, is not getting any bigger. At some point, somehow, someway, we must learn to control our numbers. We all know about the method they use in China. We see another method used, in this thread's example, in Great Britain. There are others, and there may be even more, many of which will be worse than anything we've ever seen before.
