In these weeks I have heard everything about what Moscow has decided to do about Crimea.

So, I'd like to provoke a discussion with some expression of opinion.

The question of this poll is quite simple and direct: how can we define what Moscow did with Crimea?

The option in the poll are in a random order [so the order doesn't express my orientation].

Multiple choice is allowed and I have to make it clear that from a geopolitical perspective there is a difference between

    Invasion and Conquest.

An invasion can be temporary and not total [from the beginning, already in the intention of who run it], a conquest usually is thought to be lasting and comprehensive as for territorial control.

I voted for conquest and international crime. Crimea have a right to decide their own fate. However, instead of turning their backs on the referendum and declaring it illegitimate, the U.N. should have oversaw the referendum to ensure legitimacy. If another referendum is held, absent of corruption or with minimal corruption, I would support Russia's annexation of Ukraine, but Putin was far too eager to annex the peninsula without the proper provisions. Russians were allowed to vote in the elections, some ballots were already marked, and turnout was less than 35%.

I should probably clarify that I don't support military intervention however, as that could simply escalate the situation and begin a full out war.

All about oil, energy, global powers. Same old, same old. The big boys playing their dangerous games of monopoly once again. Corporate elitists gone wild, etc, etc.
