    Oscar Wilde: "America - the only country that went from barbarism to decadence directly, bypassing the stage of civilization."

    A few years ago in the United States conducted a poll journalistic on topic "Homo Sapiens". Hundreds of people in cities of different states were asked only one question: "What would you do if you found out that one of your relatives or friends is Homo Sapiens?" Most respondents answered as follows:
    - I do not have such friends and acquaintances
    - I would stopped talking to him and make friends
    - would forbid his family to communicate with him
    - would call the police ...
    As we know, "Homo Sapiens" - is "human reasonable", but this in America meet almost unreal. For more than two centuries in the U.S. selection a special breed of people who do not consider it necessary to have a real representation of the external world, and even more responsibility for their words.
    It would seem that Obama replaced Bush, would have to demonstrate to the world that Americans are not stupid, as about them say. But there it was. 44th President of the United States, positioned as a "brilliant orator" and "man with very high IQ", turned out to be a worthy successor to George W. Bush. From the very first day of his presidency, Obama has managed to sit down in a puddle. During the inauguration of his own - on a par with the chief judge - Obama made a reservation, which is why the oath taken again. And then everything went already thumb groove: absurd phrases attempt to go out the window instead of the door, multiple headers about the jamb, etc.
    During the years of his reign, Obama managed to make a series of fantastic discoveries. Here are some of them:
    * "The nation that invented the automobile can not stay without it." This is from Obama's speech before Congress. Meanwhile, people even with an average IQ level should be aware that the car was invented in Germany by Karl Benz and Gottlieb Daimler.
    * "I have visited all 57 states. Seems to have one more." Barack Obama said that in 2008, during the presidential race. Apparently, the main contender for the senior position was simply not aware of how many there are in State of the states.
    * "Russia is on the wrong side of history." If Bush believed that gas - this hemisphere, Obama went further: History is a science as it is presented in the form of some multilateral geometry. And on the right side of the figure are those who expose the nuclear bombardment of Hiroshima and Nagasaki attacks on Vietnam, Yugoslavia, Iraq, Libya, killing hundreds of thousands of people - that is the right side.
    * "My grandfather was a member of the first American troops who liberated Auschwitz and other concentration camps." Apparently Obama's grandfather served in the Red Army, as Auschwitz liberated Soviet troops only - without the Anglo-American allies .
    * "On this memorable day, when our nation honors its continuous series of fallen heroes - and I see many of them here today in this room - our sense of patriotism is particularly strong." This is generally without comment.
    "Russia - only regional power" Something like that we have already heard from the states, imagines himself world hegemony. And because it will be useful to summarize some of these statements:
    1) "Russian dwarf - I'll put her on her knees" (Carl 12th, XVIII century) - Sweden forever lost its superpower status;
    2) "I will conquer backward Russia" (Friedrich, mid-XVIII century) - in 1759 the Russian army entered Berlin;
    3) "Russia - a colossus with feet of clay" (Napoleon, XIX century) - in 1814 the Russian army took Paris;
    4) "I will win the USSR by the end of the year" (Hitler, XX century) - in 1945, committed suicide when the Soviet Army entered Berlin.
    Involuntarily reminded prediction famous American prophet Edgar Cayce that the 44th U.S. president will be a black and ... last. Many argue: America many times already predicted the collapse, and it still exists! Yes, there is, but that does not mean that it will continue. The world has changed, but Americans have simply forgotten to say about it !

    America will be gone in 50 years anyway, so I wouldn't worry too much about it.

    Did you use a crystal ball or deck of tarot cards to figure that out?

    Such a prediction is as credible as Y2K meltdown or 2012 end of the world.

    You have several examples of americans saying stupid things, good for you.

    Try reading the first sentence of your op.

    It proves you are no smarter than the Americans you quoted.

    America has some of the best schools in the world. What amazes me is that America also has some astonishing levels of ignorance. I see this as result of vast pockets of poverty, not anything inherent to Americans. Where you find impoverished communities, you'll find ignorance no matter what country you're in. Unfortunately, extreme economic bifurcation is more profound in the US, so the ignorance is also more profound.

    Just visit a trailer park or an inner-city ghetto and ask who the last four Presidents are. Or, you could be even more cruel and ask who the 'President' of England is. :truce:

    Be so. The only question is - what selection criteria presidents? Obama, in my opinion, did not live in the trailer park. Bush also not poor. Family Clinton? ... And of course press secretary Jen Psak (eg in Russia her name - appellative. Etalon ignorance and stupidity.)
