Original article http://ruskline.ru/news_rl/2014/07/04/futbol_vmesto_hristianstva/. In this article he contrasts football and religion. As my friend said: compared ass with a finger.

Judging by the text he is militant chauvinist and follower of the Black Hundreds (chernosotenets). Figures such as Shumsky are ready to draw Russia into WW3.

Who cares about non-football-nations like Russia without any talent? Russians are completely incompetent in that sport.
(it is not "soccer", the right english word is football and what americans call football is simply "american rugby". Who on earth started to call that "soccer"? The game was invented in Britain and to my best knowlegde they call it football as we do: "Fußball". So the americans should learn english I guess. Correct english. It is FOOTBALL / FUSSBALL. The uSA had a quite nice team btw. Not a good one, but it was nice at least. Russia was like always a joke.)

A pity that Germany did not play against Russia. Would have liked to see them destroyed by our team.

Any comment from russians about football such way are a joke to me. Russia never knew anything about football. Total a joke to a german that russians do feel like to comment on something they absolutely have no clue about.

    pah!

"These anti Russian posts are getting stranger and stranger.... "

Nope. If an idiot coming from a non-football-country makes comments on what they do not have any clue, these russians should not wonder to get some laughs from others in the "football areas" of this world.

Russia should just be very quite if it comes up to that elegant gentlemen sport. Very very quite. They should watch, admire look up to the masters of football with all respect and learn insteat to give stupit comments.

The article is much deeper than what is left of it. Which is intereting by itself. In fact there was only one sentence in a long article about homosexuality. The priest's main ideas are:

    1. Football was changed in the latest years. Such footbal players as George Best, Garrincha or Eduard Streltsov who played for the sake of a game and not for money are gone. And the average level has grown significantly taking away the interest. He tells that football is more a technology now than a game.
I agree with it. But only partly. Once the money came into the game it started to exist according to business laws. Business means technology. So the score of 1-0 and pretty dull attempts to break up a solid and impassable defense based on teamplay and pressing is known to any championship. But it doesn't refer to the best teams or to international championships. The teams of Holland, Germany, Costa Rica and other teams showed that there is a large reserve for the game and talent in this technology. The future of football is connected with these national systems of football education.

    2. Priest finishes the article with the idea that modern football is replacing religion and it truely became an idol for millions of people. Which is bad... according to christianity.

I agree. It is not a coincidence that any color revolt and mass riots are happening with the participation of sport fans and mostly football fans. Those who make idols are easily controlled, which is of course sad. But this idea is not any new. There is no point for religion to compete with football. Football is just a game. Quite popular nowadays. But it is just a game still. So the idol takes the lives of those who agree to live stupidly. A man with guts would never become a fanatic.

    3. Priest tells that shoes of different bright colors and absolute chaos in haircuts is making a men's game homosexual...

I can't agree with such a statement but I do understand the reason why it was made. The thing is that since the dawn of a man till now the way we look tells about our beliefs, social role and moral system. A warrior of prehistoric times would wear a necklace of teeth of totem animal. But a woman or a kid wouldn't. A knight would never make a a haircut with a ship that rides long waves of curly hair. A politician of 20th century would never wear anything but black and white. And the black would be at the bottom and white at the top. Our clothes still tell about us more than most of us think. And the definition of colored boots and women' haircuts as 'homosexual' has its reason. But I would say that its not homosexual but it is childish. It certainly is differentof what this priest wants to see (he wants black boots and regular manly haircuts), but isn't it a ptotest against the inhuman technology in the item 1?

The ideas of what we are and what way we are changing should be discussed and conclusions must be made. The easiest and the most stupid way is just to blame someone suggesting that if the guy (or the fact of realty) is destroyed than everything would become just fine. It won't. A despot can make a law for men to wear only black and white, he can cancel all the rules in football. But would it really change the men and the football? I think not.

    My conclusion is far easier:

Russians are not as significant in that sports as they wish to be. Football is the most popular sport world wide.

(Sorry, but that you do consider Costa Rica as significant simply shows that I am right...other significant teams did lose, but they are all more sicnificant than Costa Rica...not that I do not respect that team, but they simply won by accident what they won and not by true talent. France was excellent and you did forget that team, Argentinia is not playing nicely, but dangerous and might beat Germany...never mind)

And because Russia never had any, not eaven any sort of talent in history, that game must be "gay"...

    Yeah, sure...what a sick mentality.

    1. Beeing gay is simply unimportant. Completely unimportant. I guess Putin is gay btw. That is the reason he left his wife. Putin is gay. So what?

    2. Nobody can be the best everywhere. The USA plays terrible normally, but they really did fight. Costa Rica is a nobody, but they did really the best out of that as Greece...Russia is nothing in football and they did show nothing. Absolutely nothing.

Conclusion to that gay priest: football is gay.

I think most russian politicians are gay. Putin is for sure, he always shows naked. He must be gay.

    in one sentense:

    Priest is jaleous.

    :) An easy conclusion indeed.

I didn't call them significant. I said that Costa Rica showed that there is a reserve in football as a game. Again you try to read what wasn't written. :)

This easy conclusion is coming of a previous easy conclusion and inability to read. But what is more interesting - you blame the others of what you think yourself.

    :)

Even if he is he doesn't dress as gay, speak as gay, behave as gay, promote the 'gayness' So afterall it is his right to do what he wants, provided he doesn't do anything illegal.

If you reread what was written you'd see what was the conclusion and what were the main ideas of his.

He is gay. The way he is opposed to gay people shows: Putin must be gay. Also he speaks gay: the voice of a 15 years old gay.

I hope his gay friends in goverment wont execute him for that.

    The main thing is:

If a russian speaks about football it is as an escimo speaks about a camel and a saudi arabian about snow.

So we can ignore any russian comment on that anyway. Russians are unable to play that game.

Generally speaking....I do not listen to anyone who claims to speak for a Sky Fairy. They have already proven they are a bit unstable and confused.

    Whatever.

Gays are not executed in Russia for being gay.

So you really think that some nations are unable to do the things which others can? :) Russia doesn't have a good team for the moment. It is a fact. Our team came to the contest and that was already a good result for us. The loss of Russia is more useful than a victory would have been. All the problems are clearly seen and we have really a lot to do in order to get better.

You can. But you don't. :)

Russian Orthodox Church (РПЦ) there are more than 10,000 years. I did not think that Putin is so old.
The right radial part of ROC supported the Black Hundreds at the beginning of the last century.

IMHO your knowledge of history is very weak.

Definitely not. Litwin, wake up, there no KGB more than two decades. During the communist USSR among priests had a lot of spies in the service of the KGB. Mutual influence of church and state exists today. The villains can be found everywhere and always. And of course you know it.

ROC tries to officially stay out of politics. ROC in Ukraine, Belorussia and Moldova is the largest association of believers (by number of parishes). Autonomous part of ROC (outside of Russia, ROCOR) has 9 iparhy - East American (New York), Middle American (Chicago), West American (Frisco), Canadian (Montreal), Australian, South-American, West-European (Geneva), German (Berlin) and UK-Ireland.

Can you imagine territories which the KGB network are covered! :roflol:
