Republican Steve King Predicts Impeachment if Obama grants executive amnesty

The Right is in a paradox.

Obama hatred, i.e. pushing for impeachment, helps the Dems and hurts the GOP.

But without talk of impeachment, the "evil criminal" Obama will go "unpunished" and that means their entire sense of "cosmic justice" even their faith in God might be challenged.

If Obama starts granting amnesty I think it would establish why the GOP could not trust him with a blank check. People who are assuming that more unilateral action by Obama will be good for Obama are being silly.

I don't really have an opinion on impeaching Obama at this point, I can see arguments on both sides. He is certainly a bad President who shirks precedent in his use of executive power.

That's an easy way out. I know you can't disprove anything I've said because I don't lie and I try very hard to get facts before posting. Not that I don't make mistakes some times, but I do try very hard to be correct in what I say. If I am just going to be a mouth piece for the Party, it gives me no credibility

 

Then shut the hell up and provide evidence for the charges that you laid against your President.

 

I think what he meant was a "virtual" impeachment. Meaning the Democrats will lose so many seats in Congress if Obama grants Executive Amnesty, he might as well be impeached. Because he will hand the Republicans an over 60% veto proof majority in Congress. This why when Congress passes a law, Obama veto's it and his veto is overridden anyway. At that point he might as well not even be there.

I'm not ya'all understand the ramifications of that. A national Voter ID can be passed along with a bill that voids any executive amnesty granted prior to January 2015. Obama would veto them and Congress would simply override the veto and they'd be law.

 

That's always true when one has NO proof, only opinion and rhetoric.

 

Consider yourself on the 'impeachment bandwagon'........'cause that is exactly what Obummer is gonna do........amnesty and an employment card for all illegals who have a USC kid........which pretty much covers most of the Hispanics.

Rep. Steve King (R-Iowa) said Wednesday he's not trying to impeach President Obama, but he warned White House against staying on its current course for immigration.

“I am not pushing impeachment. What I am doing is trying to deter the president from violating the Constitution in a way I have never seen in the history of this country,” King said on CNN’s “New Day.”

King said Obama is “taunting Congress” by telling lawmakers on Capitol Hill he wants a certain law passed, and then taking executive action to implement it if Congress does nothing.

“I want the president to operate in a lawful manner, in a constitutional manner,” King said, but he suggested there would be consequences if Obama decided to grant amnesty to people who have crossed into the United States illegally.
Last weekend the conservative Republican clearly suggested that impeachment proceedings for Obama would be legitimate if he continues to take executive action.

"From my standpoint, if the president [enacts more executive actions], we need to bring impeachment hearings immediately before the House of Representatives," King said on Breitbart News Saturday, according to the conservative outlet. "That's my position and that's my prediction."

Apparently the "Gang That Couldn't Shoot Straight"...i.e. the Republican Party....hasn't sat down and had a little meeting with its Caucus and informed that that the NEW meme is "Impeachment talk is a trick that Democrats started."

BTW, King sort of undercuts the excuse-making that "It's only pundits, not any actual Republicans in the House, who are calling for impeachment".....another part of the "memory hole" revision of history going on over at Ministry of Truth: Oceania's Number One Source For News.

 

Maybe Rep. King should try doing HIS job and then the President wouldn't have to act when Congress does absolutely nothing.
It's pretty hard to have a functioning government when only 2 of the Branches of government are actually doing their jobs.
