Obama’s Coming Coup d’etat?

This is essentially the nexus of three articles that caught my eye. Barack Obama is on the edge of forcing a Constitutional crisis. Obama has already acted in an unconstitutional manner when he unilaterally rewrote IRS rules regarding Obamacare. Now he’s on the verge of doing it again. Remember- these aren’t extremists.

Obama undecided on immigration steps. “White House officials are downplaying stories that President Obama is prepared to take executive action on immigration that would allow millions of undocumented people to stay in the United States.” Such an action would be an extra-constitutional coup, entirely justifying the impeachment talk.​

This is the tone of the media coverage right now: The president may get the occasional rebuke for impeachment-baiting, but what the White House wants to do on immigration is assumed to be reasonable, legitimate, within normal political bounds.

It is not: It would be lawless, reckless, a leap into the antidemocratic dark. ​

That seems like an awfully strong word, but it is the term that distinguished law professor Glenn Reynolds, no hysteric, uses to describe the Obama administration’s oft-reported plan to issue executive amnesty to five or six million illegal immigrants in violation of federal law. Glenn’s characterization is a fair one. When a tyrant asserts the right to rule by decree in a state that has formerly been subject to the rule of law, he is commonly described as carrying out a coup d’etat.

That is just what the Obama administration has done, and reportedly will continue to do. When Obama changed the Affordable Care Act by decree–to name just one example, substituting “2014″ for “2013″ in a critical provision of the statute–he acted as a tyrant. In his refusal to enforce the immigration laws, contrary to the Constitution which requires him to “take care that the laws be faithfully executed,” he has acted like a tinpot dictator, asserting the right to change or ignore the law by fiat.​

Oh yeah, conspiracy theories do abound, however, it must be shown that on at least two occasions we have seen our dear leader apply Cloward-Piven theories to use. We have especially seen it in the Immigration crisis. Then there was pseudo 'Sequestration' that blew up in Obama's face by closing the White House and national monuments for no need. On te opposite end now the destruction of our military by cutting it back to pre WWII status. BTW it's not about how many Ex Orders he has signed. It's the scope of the orders issued.

 

So nothing about a coupe detat.

I don't think Obama's going to grant anyone amnesty, he's already well over the line that a Republican could have crossed and he doesn't have much further that he can go.

For example, his coal regulations were incorrectly drafted and it's looking like it was just a fake action to try and excite his base, they will be held up for years and almost surely struck down when it finally settles. Obama is not actually doing this stuff, he's just talking about doing it.

 

Obama and his Marxist tactics! Nothing he does surprises me now. Even as he continually taunts conservatives. He's a radical. And the zeal at which the leftists on this site continue to defend him prove it!

When has nationwide martial law ever been declared? That didn't even occur during an active civil war.

The insurance companies would love that because they wouldn't have to pay out any life insurance or property damage claims. And all airline and commercial transportation traffic would cease. Keep the tv tuned to the news so that you can be one of the first to loot the nearest grocery store.

Except for the fact that Obama has weakened our Constitution, Economy, Military, and opened our Borders, while making some of the most draconian Executive Orders any president has ever made. It's not the number of EXO's but the quality of them that has Americans worried.

It's not just the vote. It's who you vote for. And until the extreme right figures out there's more to governing than slogans, placards and strict adherence to a far right ideology, they will continue to lose national elections, public support and power grabs by the chief executive.
