The United States have got the known White House, but Argentina has got a "rosada" house [Rose House], so I was wondering, if a President would decide to change the color of the White House ... should that President be allowed to do that?
Sure. It is really Off-White Washed Sandstone House anyways. Throw some vinyl siding and replacement windows on it why you are at it.
Personally I would allow President's family to chose the favored color. At the end to connect the site of a Chief of State to a color, from our perspective is quite curious ... [the same thought is valid for the Argentinian Rose House, clear ...].
Tucked away between that God awful ugly Old Executive Office Building/Old War Department Building and that tobacco-stain color Department of Treasury, a little rose paint on the WH might class the place up a little.
So I heard it only became the "white" house after it was burned in the war of 1812, white paint to hide the black from the fire...if that's true was it a different colour before it set on fire? - - - Updated - - - There would some serious coinage involved in repainting the white house with every president...it's not your typical two story...
The poor house would get to much different paints on it, I don't think it would be possible after like 10 presidents, and its just kinda weird, like really? It's historical too of course..
This! For as long as it's been called "The White House," it must always remain white for that reason. History should be important.
