    Taxcutter says:
In the short (0-5 years) they are. Nobody else has the infrastructure to export natural gas to Europe. The US does not have an adequate number of pipelines or LNG ports to fill Europe's needs. Neither does Saudi Arabia, Iran, Iraq, or Nigeria.

If the US could get the government permitting process out of the way the US could - maybe - meet most of those needs by 2020.

Until then, there is only one substitute: Coal. But that would entail super-greenie Europeans eating some serious crow.

Uhhh! Obama does have complete control over the media as well as the intelligence service. Haven't you noticed how our major news sources leave out the same bits and pieces, and spin everything in exactly the same way? If you read one, you have read them all, so I won't even bother. The Internet fills us in now with the things our government doesn't want us to know.

As for people disappearing in Russia, well since its from our media it has to be right. :roflol:

You care too much about nonsense. Nope, russia did not ban european airlines anything. Itz would mean the end of russian aviation, since EU would ban russian airlines, Boeing and Airbus would stop to maintain russian fleet (and aeroflot uses almost only Airbus ad Boeing) and close EU and USA completly for russian aircrafts. The ones here who think this will happen are simply deluded.

I have, as usual, ignored most of the diatribe in the above posts in order to say this - reports indicate Russia is turning to other than European food sources - South and Central America leading.

Sanctions only hurt the common people and are the striving for power of politicians.

Russians produce a lot of their own products, including fruits. Besides, Turkey did not sign up to the "sanctions" and will continue and expand the trade.

Why? Everything Putin has done so far has backfired, so will this. Russia should expect empty shelves at supermarkets, long lines and astronomical prices. They are delusional if they think that Brazil and Turkey can replace Germany and France...

Meanwhile you in Ukraine should ban anything produced in Russia and open your markets to the European manufacturers/farmers, you will get better products at better prices and help your allies alleviate the consequences of the Russia ban.

I don't think sanctions have ever worked and only increase animosity.

There are no alternatives that I can see.

Just leave it alone. Let individuals decide. If I'm unhappy with what Russia is doing, I will stop buy goods produced there.

yes he is and his a liar too, he presents a shop items reshuffle as empty shelves that in fact will be full of food stuffs tomorrow.

no, of course; don't be pathetic; no government will allow anything of that sort to happen these days; its a matter of politics.
