Will they be seen by future historians the way Congresses in the early 1900s are - full of bought-and-paid for suits, except now they are even more venal and short-sighted?
And even that would be nice way to remember these jackasses. Course it is 'We the People' who keep putting them in office so how will future historians remember us?.
We will be seen as the generation that had everything and squandered it because we were too greedy. Nothing represents that better than our degenerate politicians and businesspeople.
Congress always has low approval ratings but history will judge Obama poorly because he's one guy who has proven his individual incompetence whereas congress is over 400 people.
This Congress has done the least of ANY Congress in the history of this country - most of it out of spite, if not just plain old hatred of the fact that a black, liberal, Democrat is the President. I don't see how this Congress can't be considered THE absolute worst.
There sits upon Harry Reid's desk plenty of legislation that would solve many of our current problems. Unfortunately Harry Reid, too blinded by partisan fury, and bound and determined to anoint Barak Obama dictator and chief refuses to act upon any of it.
I am proud of the House. Americans in their ignorance gave control of the country to extremist - Obama and his gang of Brownshirts. After two years, they sent to the House to Washington to do one thing: Put the breaks on Obama, and they have done exactly what the people set them there to do. That's why the Kenyan socialist hates them so much.
Today, if Dorothy were to encounter men with no brains, no hearts, and no courage, she wouldn't be in Oz. She'd be in CONGRESS!
history will not mention this congress...its the leader of the country job to work with both sides and get things done...so for the last five years nothing has been done so you have to put the blame on the leader...and who is the leader?...of the country not the house or the senate either...
People who believe the same way as Obama and who benefitted from it will say it was good. Those who didn't will say it was bad. People who want to make money off of it will rewrite things to suit their own agenda. Some historians will be completely objective. That's how it will play out, like everything else.
The congress is held in low regard nationally, but the individuals who make up the congress are held in high regard by the voters they each represent. So, congressional approval ratings on a national level are basically worthless.
The president is judged by the entire population. The individuals in the congress are judged only by their constituents. What I think of a congressman in Ohio is meaningless if I'm a voter in Idaho.
Absolutely right on point. The do-nothing Senate and inept President will go down in history as travesties.
